Most disappointing book purchased for a 50th birthday
I was under the impression it was an A4 sized book with wonderful photos of different Masters tournaments. I purchased this book for a 50th birthday present for my son. I can’t tell you what a disappointment it was. I had to go and purchase another golf book to compensate for this one. As it was $116 I was expecting nothing like I received

Triumphs and Tragedy in an absorbing Story.
A truly Fascinating Book Any Golf Fan will find it well worth having. A Trgic End to Mr Roberts Fabled Career though in building Augusta and the Masters to what it is today.

Golf's premier tournament
You don't have to be a golf fanatic to enjoy this book. David Owen does a masterful job in digging deeply into, and behind, the Masters Tournament and Clifford Roberts, the driving force behind it. Roberts has a crusty reputation of running roughshod over people; Owens sheds new light on the unknown side of the man, and also on the tournament that he loved so much. "The Making of the Masters" is a book to be savoured, not devoured in one sitting.
