Exactly as described and cheaper than pet store prices. Arrived quickly. I just wish they shipped with fed ex or ups instead of usps. My local post office is sub-par at best. Regardless, the product itself is exactly what is advertised and the price is good compared to pet store prices. They add a nice bit of color and interest in the bottom of the aquarium. They're a good size and my water is still clear after adding them. I did rinse them before adding them into my tank. They don't crumble or fall apart.

Shrimp and crabs often pick on these mineral balls!!!

I have a 40 gallon shrimp tank that has been active for approximatly 3 years. I figured I would give these a try. I can't say they have harmed anything, but I'm not sure they are doing anything at all. They don't seem to dissolve, even over a long period of time. I've had a few in the tank for almost a year and haven't noticed any change in the ball's shape. I've put a few directly in the output water flow of the filter for 2-3 months ata time, and still don't see any difference in the shape or size of the balls. I would think if any chemical action was taking place, the spheres would change in shape over time. The shrimps don't mind these in the aquarium, so I've left a few for the shrimps to look at.Overall: if you are really into items for your shrimp tank, maybe give these a try. Otherwise, spend your money of some upgraded shrimp food, you'll be happier.

I have put a small handful of these in many of my fish and shrimp tanks. I can't really tell if it makes a difference or not but I've had no adverse effects. So I really don't know if they're helping but I'm pretty sure they're not hurting anything.

The media could not be loaded. My nanoshrimp and even my fish tanks love these. The animals like them and they help balance the tank. I have ordered these 3 times. Love them.
