Purchased for ticks given growing lyme disease risk, but so far has only seen use for splinters. But it's very precisely made and quite robust considering its weight. Impressed.

Small sharp Efficient

These tweezers do look, at first glance, like something out of a cracker, but they are actually well-made. A lot of people will find them too fiddly to use, as they are so small, and not so easy to withdraw from the protective sheath. They do, however, have sharply pointed tips, which makes them especially useful for grubbing out tiny pieces of glass, or removing snapped off thorns or embedded tiny stones - I have been using a darning needle, which does work, but it's hard to grip properly. I'll add this to my mini first aid kit which always travels with me, as I go barefoot, and it takes up very little space. If you have big or arthritic hands, though, this probably won't suit. (They also seem rather expensive.)

Wow these are really great. Had a splinter for the last three days and couldn't get it out. Within minutes of the Amazon delivery these little tweezers quickly opened up the entry site and then i could grab hold of the exposed splinter. Fantastic!!!

Having wooden floors, splinters are a regular occurrence.This is the first thing I’ve used that worked perfectly.Managed to isolate the splitter with absolutely no pain.

Splinters are not nice and can be very painful. Trying to get them with normal tweezers can sometimes make the problem worse. These tweezers are specifically designed for that purpose. The fine points make it easy to zero in on the splinter, without damaging the skin around it. They are sturdy and won't bend. Come well packed too. Only small issue is that they can be a tad uncomfortable to hold at times, as the design is a little unorthodox.
