It is used, but worked

This AES powers our 40’ Newmar diesel pusher perfectly. I tried the larger ARV (5.5 gpm), unit and it was so large it cycled constantly. Sometimes bigger isn’t better… this 3.4 runs smooth and is variable speed that does work well, not totally silently but wellUpdate: the first unit started leaking and the pressure switch failed after three months . I called the manufacturer and since it was under warranty I was told to return it to retailer. Of course it’s too late to return to Amazon. So much for the two year warranty 🤪

Seems to be a quality piece. We haven't got to use it too much yet but it's really quiet despite what some reviews have said (it's all in making sure you have a solid base and don't crush the isolator bushings when you fasten it down) . By the way, you can mount it in any position- ours is vertical on a solid bulkhead- verified by contacting customer service to get the official ok. The variable speed pump rate is a nice feature.

The pump works great. Just as stated by the product sell sheet. However, the pump vibration is a problem. It pump shakes the RV creating a lot of noise. I even have soft tubing connected to the pump. Far worst than the original 4008. Wife says it has to go.

My pipes rattle but the pump is very quiet. No more hot and cold oscillating showers in my RV. Just spend the money and get a good pump. I’m very satisfied.

Up front, let me say, the pump works just fine... like most other pumps. The reason I gave only 2 stars is because I do not consider it variable speed. This pump works just like the original pump it replaced. It speeds up when you open the faucet more and slows down when you close it more, just like any motor will slow under more load. And then surges a lot at low flow, like all of them do. The pump I bought has no heat sinks like the one in the picture and a call to the company revealed that that the picture is of a previous model. Perhaps the old models ARE true variable speed pumps? Perhaps this retailer is selling the older pumps? It would be worth while finding that out before ordering. I bought from another retailer.

We replaced our factory pump that would not self prime. This one starts up with air in the lines and immediately primes itself! It is about as loud as the original. It does speed up and slow down as advertised. Will still pulsate if the water flow is very slow, but works great with a good flow rate.

The picture of the pump advertised on Amazon is not similar to the pump I received. The pump I received is noisy and no way does it pump near 65psi. This pump is not worth the price. Way overpriced.
