My black and white pitbull mix has environmental allergies that are causing serious itchiness. She has been waking me up from scratching all night long. She is even balding in the spots where she is constantly itching. Her poor neck has been super raw from all the scratching. She also had a spot on her belly that the vet had me treating with a steroid/antibiotic spray (that wasn't helping). The spot was constantly red. I started putting coconut oil on the raw spots and adding it to her food to see if that would help. The coconut oil has been successful in reducing the itching and scratching.
