I believe so. I think it would fit well on 1/2 sheet cake.

The measurements of the opening are 2 inches wide by 2.5 inches tall. You should be able to get a gift card inside.

Could this be used as a bank?

It's possible to add a slit, but no, I don't think it's sturdy enough to use as a bank. It's really folded paper so I don't advise doing it.
