DenTek Canker Cover Sore Patch 6 ea (Pack of 3)

I've tried so many covers for canker sores. This one adheres very well! I will say that they do get gelatinous toward the end of their use, but it stays intact and slips right off when it's done. I can use these during the day and they stay put through eating and talking. They do have a menthol kick when first applied, but that goes away rather quickly. I only need two during the day and one more during the night if needed.

The product in this listing is NOT what is being sold. All the description matches a product which looks to be discontinued. The new product is a thin circle of plastic with an adhesive on one side. It will create a barrier (e.g. so an acidic drink doesn't cause extra pain), but it doesn't cushion like the advertised product. It also has no pain relief included. The adhesive wears off very quickly (usually <1 hour in my experience), and it's easy for friction to rub the product off. The previous product in my experience generally lasted 4-8 hours by comparison.This new product is a big step down from the old one, and in my estimation it isn't worth any amount of money.

Works a little but not the taste in your mouth

This is the only product I have tried that works for sores inside the mouth and after 8 years I have tried a lot of them

I was surprise when I opened this to find a clear adhesive type bandage instead of the usual tablet. I thought at first that this is great. Boy was I wrong! This sticks to the inside of the packaging so beware, because at first I didn’t think that anything was in there so make sure that you open all of the foil. I placed it over the canker sore and thought, this is nice because you don’t have the taste like the tablet. But the it came off within the first hour. I thought I maybe didn’t apply it right and took extra precautions applying another one. Yep, same thing. Went through the whole box the first day and didn’t soothe the irritation at all! I’ll take the yucky taste of the tablet any day! They stick for 6 to 8 hours and soothe the irritation. I’ve been using them for years and will continue with the tablet.

More for your buck

I've bought this product several times a year for the past 10 years or so. During my most recent purchase however, I noticed that the company Dentek has a new product that's similar. It's called canker relief... Instead of a pill like product that forms a protective gel cover over the sore, this new product is just a patch that doesn't do anything at all. It doesn't stay on for more then 10 minutes before it falls off. It sucks! With the older product it would take me several months to go through one box of six of those "pills" and now I just went through an entire box in less than 2 days. With no positive results. To top it all off, when I was adding this product to my cart I made sure that it was the canker cover product that I have been buying for the last decade. But what was delivered to my house was this new product called canker relief. They are not the same product, this new product is useless. And I can't even return it because they don't accept returns on this, so it's a waste of money for me.

Sometimes the tablet stayed on the sore and other times it came off when I ate.
