These are adorable hats that have easy to follow directions to make in 3 sizes. You can also choose which ear flap design you prefer: plain ear flap, ear flap with scarf or ear flap with a twisted cord tie. I love the choices: cat, dog, octopus, rhino, flamingo, turtle, lion, owl, tiger, penguin, shark, bald eagle, ladybug, snow leopard, rabbit, frog, mallard, sheep, bee and bear. Best crochet book I have seen. Lots of pictures so you can see as you go how you are doing.

hat patterns are adorable I would give that a 5 star. My problem is the gage is off. all patterns call for 2 strands of worsted weight yarn and a J hook. I have crocheted for years and have never had a problem being right on with the gage. but even though patterns are easy to follow and my crochet tension has always been spot on I find that these patterns must have been written with single strand of yarn instead. Have restarted many times and am now using 2 strands of yarn with a G hook and just about have gage on but then hat is too stiff. not sure if weight of yarn should be a 3 or just crochet with 1 strand.

I hesitated about buying this because I thought the only one I'd ever make would be the Rabbit. However, I finally decided it was worth it to have the pattern (plus I used a gift card I received so I could justify it to myself that I didn't really pay for it). Once I received the book, I realized that there are probably a few more I might make someday, such as the Bear, Cat, Dog, and Frog. Note that you will use 2 strands of worsted yarn held together. The instructions are clear and easy to follow.

Daughter really likes the cat hat. Adorable hats. Instructions are mostly clear but a bit sketchy on some of the assembly points.

The Turtle Hat pattern was easy to understand & follow. I’d think the other patterns would be easy to follow as well.

This is an excellent book. Made the mallard and cat and hope to make many more of them. Directions are great! Would definitely buy again.

The hats are cute and creates great buzz wherever I go wearing one. The instructions are also very easy to follow. I have one myself and I bought another one as a present for a friend and she was over the moon. I definitely recommend it to anyone who wants to make stand out quality animal hats for themselves and friends!
