Really nice anti-slip rug pad.
I had a lot of small area rugs; we just put in vinyl self-stick tile throughout the house, in a wood grain pattern. The rugs slithered all over. I bought the 8 x 10 size pad, and cut pieces to fit my various rugs. I did find that the rugs would shift a little (the pad stayed in the correct position, but with sideways pressure, the rug shifted a bit). So I experimented with using a little duct tape on the corners; bingo, problem solved. What I love is that you can move the rugs around easily if you want, and yet you can vacuum them in place without having them shift. I was worried about the comments on the pad that said "not for vinyl floors" but so far there seems to be no problem with them leaving those "waffle marks" some people have mentioned. I plan on looking under them regularly to make sure though. These are very light weight and easy to cut; but they add a nice little bit of padded feeling to my cheapo area rugs. So far, I'm super happy with this product and I plan on buying another large pad so I can cut it to shape as needed. (There was a bit of a chemical smell when I unwrapped the pad, but it went away quickly.)

High Quality, Works Very Well, Perfect Size!
In the past I have had issues with trying to vacuum my rugs and instead of them staying still they would slide around on the wood kitchen floors. I knew that all I needed was these rubber mats but I made a poor choice in going with a cheap one that did absolutely nothing except waste my money. After doing some looking I found and went with this one, from Veken.Just to make it easier I will list the features of the rug vs others.- The gripper pad is a lot thicker than others and grippier making it better for holding onto your rugs. The higher quality definitely shows. - It comes in a 8 by 10 feet size making it perfect for larger rugs and perfect for cutting up to use for smaller rugs. I can use this for one giant rug, or multiple smaller rugs. - Many cheap gripping pads do not have any return or refund services that are worth looking at, however this pad from Veken does. They offer lifetime refund and return policy that makes me feel safe when purchasing. After using this rug for about a month I really wish I went with this one from the start. It actually does this job and I have even purchased a second one for my futon. The main rest keeps sliding off the structure and this actually holds it in place. The quality is amazing, the size is awesome, and the company offers a great refund policy. Thanks for taking the time to read this as I do not often write reviews on amazon products, only when I feel they deserve it.

Does it’s job
Smell is bad and strong straight out of the bag. I hung it in the garage for 24 hours. No more smell. Easily laid it out on the floor where I wanted it. Put area rug on top. Then trimmed pad to fit. Very easy! This pad hasn’t moved through Lightning McQueen Paw Patrol races, games of Hide-n-Seek or Tag. It has just enough padding to make the area rug comfortable for knees to crawl around on while building wood train sets, lego city creations, marble run extravaganzas, Knex roller coasters, etc... our family room plays hard! Nice product.

Read details before buying
The written info for this product is presented in a deceptive manner. The second bullet point for the product says, "Only to be used on hard surface floors." Following the fifth bullet point it has a link to "See more product details". When you do that it takes past the additional details. But if you scroll up from there you will find the statement, "*Not intended for use on carpet, vinyl, lacquered, Acrylic, natural stone, porous, or refinished surfaces. Check the floor Manufacturer's directions before using to be sure the Rug Pad will not harm floor surface." From this I conclude that the only kinds of floors it can be used on are hardwood, tile, and maybe linoleum. And the hardwood can't be re-finished hardwood. Why not say that at the beginning, and save customers the trouble of returning the product.

perfect for boisterous pet owners!
My young brother/sister Great Danes have their inner clock all set: at 10 pm most nights, their second wind kicks in. One gets a toy from their toy box and encourages the other to try to take it away. Before you know it, it's an all out free for all in the living room! Rugs go sliding across the room -- even the one that is held down by a couple of sofa legs, doesn't stand a chance. I know they are having fun and don't have the heart to curtail their antics -- but it was becoming tiresome to put the two area rugs back in place most mornings. I wasn't sure that these pads would be good enough to hold them in place, but at the price I thought I'd give it a try. Compared to other products that I have used in the past (without success) these are plump and naturally 'grippy' -- not 'tacky' as some other gripper pads sometimes can be -- and basically don't work anyway. I cut the two pads (easily) to size and waited for a play-night -- that night they went to town. :-) After 20 minutes of hard play - they zonked off to sleep -- and not a rug had budged - even the one that did not have any furniture on it!! I was impressed, to say the least. Will definitely purchase this brand again if ever I need another!

This product cannot be used on flooring.
I do not even know where to begin with this review. I do not know how this product will perform. I ordered it and when I received it the following information was attached as a warning on the product: “not intended for use on carpet, Vinyl, lacquer, acrylic, natural stone, Porous or refinished surfaces”. If I cannot use this product on my tile, wood floors, luxury vinyl tile, What can I use it for? I do not want to use an area rug for Bare hardwood floors or water. Who has hardwood floors without any surface lacquer or non porous surface? What are they thinking?
