I find these headphones are a great bet in terms of price and sound, but they always break.Every pair of skull candy earphones I've had has just packed in. Whether it's one ear or both. One pair managed to hold out a full two years. This latest pair was bought in January and packed in today: 4 months later. No droppage. No bent wire. Just stopped. I can get the most miniscule of volume from the left if I turn it up to full.These would be 5 star if they actually lasted.

Nice set of buds at a bargain price .I bought these after using a pair ofSkullcandy over ear type headphones in my home audio system for 5 years with no issues.If money is tight as good as it gets for the cost.Tuneful bass thats more than just a monotonous thump drowning out everything else , clear vocals and a treblethats sharp and free from ' tizz ' .The flat rubberized type cable seems to last much longer without breaking a connection than conventional typesand the earbuds have been optimized for a secure fit which in practice works well.The only complaint i have is they don't have a 90 degree plug , the mic funtion is something i rarely use with headsetsbut having taken a few calls now it performs well , callers report my voice as clear with no background noise apparent.Like most people that use this type of headset i've had literally dozens over the years , some DOA , some lasted a few months , at this end of the market i'd consider 12/18 months daily use before the inevitable broken cable outstanding and see no reason for the Skullcandys to fail prematurely.

Buying my 3rd pair now as my sister accidentally ripped my latest pair apart. I've had earohones much more expensive but they've never surpassed the quality of these. I actually have no point of reference for a sound quality any better than this from earohones and definitely not headohones. Headohones always find themselves being worse quality than in-ear. I'd look for an upgrade but don't want to waste my parents money if they're no better than these.

Terrible. did not have a mic like it was supposed to, but it did have a bit of hard plastic attached to the cord which looks like one. Sound is awful, no noice cancellation at l and super uncomfortable to wear. Downright painful to wear. Dont waste your money. Not worth it. Went straight to bin.

Had two pairs, got them the second time as I thought the first ones might of just been bad luck. They don't last, I love Skullcandy's earphones but the Smokin' Buds are definitely not worth it. I'd stick to the Ink'd 2.0.
