Velbon Ultra Luxi M Tripod

have owned this tripod for some time now and it hasn't let me down yet. This tripod folds up small enough to strap onto the side of my camera bag/rucksack without causing me or those i am trying to squeeze past any annoyance.I have been using this as a holiday tripod on many city breaks with my venerable old Canon Eos 350D. I have the extended grip with 2 batteries and a variety of lenses. (including some very long and heavy ones). This tripod has handled everything i have thrown at it without giving me concern. It holds my camera firm at any angle with any weight i have given it so far.The legs are extended using a twist > extend > twist back again to lock process, which is very quick and means no fiddling with any of the normal clips many tripods have. (V handy when you have cold fingers).The head tilts and swivels in a smooth motion and can easily be controlled using the two grips to both maneuver and lock in place with a quick twist.Only downside is that to completely pack this down you have to unscrew one of the head grips and this then screws into the handle of the other. Takes a bit of time when you are in a rush but if you down want it sticking out the side when folded down it is a must do

A lot cheaper than some of the other brands. I have used it for low down macro photographs and am very satisfied. Whilst fully extended it is only around 1200mm (4'2")it is adequate (I am 6'). It is lightweight and compact when folded down. I like it and due to its size and weight it goes everywhere with me whereas my larger heavier unit has to be 'considered' before lugging it around.

The delivery was quick, the product as expected - we have one at home that we bought at a photography shop, but as it's 2 of us, we wanted another one for travelling. Nice and compact, but still holds my canon.The price very reasonable for the product. Excellent seller and I can recommend.

Excellent product is useful for all types of photography and video cameras. It is robust and stable but at the same time compact, i use it when teaching photography. Excellent value would purchase Velbon again.

Light Weight but sturdy. Never found a tripod that you can set up so low to the ground.
