The Joe Barden P-Style Bass pickup is designed for the 4 string P-Bass and similarly styled basses. The sound is alive and present with punch and articulation that lifts your bass into a sound space that lets you stand out in the mix with authority and tone.These P-Style Bass pickups were designed to maintain authentic P-Bass tone and character but with extended frequency response and articulation that characterizes all Joe Barden pickups. Despite their single coil pairing, and like all other Joe Barden pickups, the P-Style pickups exhibit quiet performance you would expect. P-Styles may be mixed in a P or PJ arrangement for guitars that are routed to accept standard P and J-Bass pickups. P-Style bass pickups are split pickup designs available for 4 string P-Bass models.In a departure from dual blade pickup design, the JBE P-Styles utilize two single coil pickup pairs similar to a traditional P-Bass pickup. But the P-Style is significantly quieter than traditional P-Bass pickups. Every note is balanced and smooth across all strings. Intervals ring out with clarity and tone that make bass chording alive and expressive.The wide frequency response of the pickup allows players to shape their tone from punchy and aggressive to soft and mellow.
