This article really works! I had foot surgery and absolutely could not get my surgical wound, nor dressings wet. However, I wanted to shower after a few days of sponge bathing. I took my boot off put this vinyl like protector on foot up to my thigh just above the knee. I was in a bath chair and for extra precaution rested the heel of my affected foot on a stool I used a hand held shower for better control of direction of water spray. A few drops landed on the article but none got to my foot or any part of my leg that was covered.

This worked great protecting my knee after I had surgery so I was able to take a shower.

This waterproof boot is made of durable plastic and has a great flexible seal that fits around the thigh. I used this to protect my splint and cast during showers for about 4 weeks after Achilles surgery. There was plenty of room for the cast, was relatively easy to put on (with assistance) and I never got water on my cast. I was rather careful while in the shower to limit the amount of direct water streams on the boot as the seal around the thigh is not extremely tight but comfortable. I would not submerge it in a tub. All in all I was very happy with it.

I had knee surgery and could not wet the incision nor surgery dressing for several days. I saw this knee cover and read the reviews. It looked clumsy but I ordered it anyway. Looks can be deceiving; this is the perfect item for water protection for your knee or leg. At first it was not easy to put on but after 2 days it became a lot easier. The knee protector works perfectly. It is completely waterproof and covers the whole area. I used it many times and each time it did what it was supposed to do. You can adjust how high or low on your leg area without any issues, the seal extends/stretchable to make sure it goes over your leg regardless of the size of your knee or leg. I highly recommend this cast cover and can be reused many times for future use. I was very pleased with this product it did what it was supposed to do-keep the surgery area dry.

Broke my foot in two places and after surgery to have plates installed, this was great. I had to shower with my leg hanging out of the shower with a towel wrapped around for the first couple of days. That was also so tiring. This was water tight in the shower and worked great with a shower chair. The dressing stayed dry, and it lasted for as long as it took to get the stitches out and into a removable boot later on.

Advertised for swimming, but make sure to read ALL description details “not for full immersion”As soon as my son got in, the cast covers filled up with water and started to float- he freaked out because he couldn’t get his legs down.Should be advertised as for showers or sprinklers only more clearly

Omg I’m so happy I bought this. I couldn’t wet my incision wounds for 3 months and this thing helped me comfortably shower for the 2 months I used it. Idk why I was so hesitant to get it. It really does not let your leg/foot get wet. The plastic is very strong and sturdy, the elastic did not let any water get through even when the foam part started tearing off. If you have long hairs, the most you’ll do is pull some while trying to fix it on your thigh areas. I definitely recommend. I was also able to fit this over my splint. It was easy to put on and take off. (Fold in to slide on and fold out to slide off)
