Well worth it
I switched from an Iphone SE to this phone and im not looking back. heres why:I bought this phone so i could declutter my mind, and see how much of my smart phone I'd actually miss. But, when i started this search i needed the phone to meet a few requirements, 1. 4G and or LTE, this was simply because AT&T is taking down 2g and Id imagine that 3g will EVENTUALLY go the way of old yeller. 2. unlocked so i could jump carriers and keep this phone. and 3. in no way smart at all.The ZTE cymbal is a sweet little package if you are really utilitarian, have grown tired of your smart phone, or simply want a phone to take hiking, cycling, running, traveling, etc. A great back up to have kickin around in a desk drawer. It utilizes the Micro sim card as do most smart phones, some of the more popular smart phones are moving towards Nano sim cards. But I have a windows phone that takes micro sims, so on the off chance i decide to go back its easy. AND if you want a phone that is distraction free, but dont want to fully lose your smart phone, the sim compatibility allows you to switch back and forth whenever you want.APPSnone. besides the basics most of us will remember from the days of indestructable nokias and polyphonic ringtones. alarms, calculator, camera, and the big kicker, a weather app!the feelThe keyboard feels a little cheesy after a while, slightly loose but it works well. IT DOES NOT US T9, IT HAS T12 which is an alternative and kind of more of a pain in the ass, but after an adjustment period it works just fine. The phone itself feels good in the hand and can take a solid drop without loosing the battery door. nice to hold for long calls and easy to hold while texting.Qualitycall quality is insane. If you utilize voice over LTE the call quality is similar to skype or facetime, and all other calls made had good sound, clear and crisp, and good volume. the only issues i had were with others hearing me. That issue boiled down to me holding the phone too far from my mouth, the mic isnt the best.cameraits a flip phone camera, but if youre sending pictures to your friends with smartphones, they wont be lost in a sea of pixels. Pictures come through clear. The phone can do group messaging, MMS, silent mode, has a lovely selection of ringtones and alarm sounds and looks sleek. the outer screen resembles the screen from a fitbit and is easy to read. Actual screen is a little hard to read in sunlight, but isnt a problem anywhere else.all in all, if youre looking for a phone to be a back up or alternate to your smart phone for distraction free meetings or vacations or adventures, this is a great worth while choice. And if youre like me and wanted to intentionally downgrade in order to connect to your life a little more, its a great choice too!

Not unlocked
We purchased this phone because we had previously owned one for our son and it worked perfectly with US Mobile service. It says it is "unlocked" but when you turn on the phone it says "T-Mobile" and when we tried to use US Mobile service they told us it was not compatible. So buyer beware, call your provider before purchasing this phone to be sure they can service it.

Picture messages? Be ready to switch to T-Mobile
This is an "unlocked" phone for the most part except for one aspect: MMS messages! (Particularly, sending and receiving picture messages). Calls, texts, and web all worked with a non-T-Mobile carrier, but not picture messages. If this helps anyone: for US Mobile (which uses T-Mobile's towers for their GSM SIM card), I was able to get data to work by creating a new APN profile under "Mobile Networks" in the flip-phone's settings. Selecting the new APN as the selected profile was enough to get the browser to load web pages for me, but MMS messages did not send. The solution would in theory be that perhaps deleting the old (T-Mobile default) APN profile from the list of APNs would have solved the problem except that this phone disables (grays out) the option to delete the default APN from that list there. Then I was curious if this picture messaging is a phone issue or a lock-down issue, so I put a T-Mobile Prepaid SIM into it. This fixed the MMS issue, allowing me to text a picture to a friend. For me, I'll probably keep the phone because it works with a carrier that I don't mind using, but ...Long story short: if you purchase this ("unlocked") phone and would like your friends to be able to text you pictures of birthday cakes, weddings, etc., then be ready to switch to T-Mobile because this phone may not do MMS on other GSM carriers due to APN constraints in the settings menu. (On the other hand, if web browsing is all you need from a flip-phone, then this one works fine with other GSM carriers with the correct APN setting.)

Simple phone
Does what it's supposed to, makes and receives calls. Texting works and bluetooth works as well. interface is not the best, but then again, it is a flip phone.

Not easy to use
When AT&T dropped 2G support at the end of 2016, I like many others, I was forced to buy a newer model phone which supported GSM and 3G/4G. As my interest is only in voice calls and texts, this ZTE model appeared to be sufficient. In it's most elemental sense, it is. With Bluetooth, it connects through my car's system providing hand-free operation. However, several areas are needlessly difficult to use, for example:* texting - it does not appear that any special characters can be used in texts, including commas and periods. I now avoid texting.* phone book - it is impossible to prefix the country code/phone number with "+" which is quite standard the GSM-world over (the work-around is to dial the number first, then save it as a new contact).* the "settings" menu is surprisingly confusing leading to lots of experimentingThis phone make me miss the old Nokia 3310 - a phone that did simple things well.

T-Mobile phone for AT&T
I like virtually everything about this phone. It's great for those who don't want nor need 5G, has nice unimposing sound effects for rings etc. T-Mobile flip phone unlocked for AT&T carrier. There is a manual that can be downloaded on internet also.

Waste of money
Cell didn't last long. Started off with issues of connectivity and eventually issues with the battery dying out. Didn't matter how many times I charged the phone. It would randomly die. Would not recommend buying.
