I was recently in need of a gift for a client and didn’t know what to get her. A friend suggested ordering a variety nut assortment from Hula Delights. Since I didn’t have any other ideas, I went on Amazon.com and checked out the offerings from the company. The product description sounded good and there wasn’t one bad review, so I decided to order the Deluxe Roasted Nut Gift Tray 6-Section. (Actually, I ordered 2 trays. I figured if they were as good as they sounded, I’d better get an extra one or I might eat the gift before having a chance to present it to the client!)I placed the order on Wednesday. It arrived on that Friday. Pretty good service.My friend Sarida had dropped by my office and was present when the order was delivered. She is a gourmet chef with a lot of experience in the kitchen. I told her something new and edible had arrived, and she was very curious to see what the box from Amazon.com held. I quickly discovered that she loves nuts. When she realized what was in the clear compartments of the first tray I pulled out of the box, she showed her expertise at removing packaging. “I want the ribbon!” she exclaimed as it flew off and into an available pocket. She gently lifted the lid and we peered inside.Each of the 6 compartments/sections contained a clear plastic bag full of a different type of nut. First I went for the Cashews while Sarida sampled the Walnuts. “Pretty good,” I said to her as I savored the piece on my tongue. “Ver-er-er-y good!” she replied. I think we had a winner.“Are they fresh?” I asked her. “Ver-er-er-y fresh,” she answered.With Sarida standing across from me on the other side of the table, we proceeded to check out the rest of the assortment sitting between us. There was a bag with Pecans covered in a honey glaze. Yummy! Another compartment bore Almonds that tasted like they were seasoned with a spice which reminded Sarida of Old Bay Seasoning. It’s good to eat these every day, Sarida told me. She started munching on a handful. Sounds good to me, I replied and picked up my own handful before she had a chance at seconds. They were definitely different and good.The fifth bag held Pistachios. I love these, Sarida told me in between crunches. They were very nice indeed. The sixth bag contained an assortment of Mixed Nuts, with some kinds already sampled in the previous sections and a couple of new ones.Since Sarida and I were pleased with the first tray, I figured it would not be a problem to use the second tray as the gift I needed for my client. So, soon after our little taste test had taken place, the client was presented with the nut tray. I waited for her reaction. Upon realizing what was in the tray, she declared that she was ‘Nuts for Nuts!’ (Who was I to argue?) It was reasonable, then, to figure she would enjoy the gift. Upon sampling the Cashews, the smile that spread across her face indicated that I was correct. Happy client. Happy me.Overall, I would say this nut collection was a hit! The contents were fresh, of a nice size and offered several varieties. Add to this the fact that each inner bag could be emptied into its individual section and the tray then used to serve the nuts to family and guests. No need for an additional serving tray. The clear plastic tray the nuts are packed in is fine for that purpose. The product is also listed as being kosher.So, if you need a nice gift for someone and the deadline is getting close, you may wish to consider this nut assortment. The same goes if you are looking for something for yourself. I don’t think you’ll go wrong with the Deluxe Roasted Nut Gift Tray 6-Section from Hula Delights. I’m looking forward to my next order from them. I think it will then be a couple of trays of the Deluxe Nut Gift Tray – Gift Basket. It has lots of roasted cashews. I really like cashews!Note: Later when I was getting ready to write this review I consulted Sarida so that I would present all of my facts correctly. I started to say, “Something had the Old Bay….” “Old Bay Seasoning,” she finished the sentence when I hesitated. Those were the Almonds, she said. Oh. They were good? (I asked this to see what kind of response she would give.) “They were very good,” she replied. I guess they left an impression.

I've ordered these twice: once for a wine tasting, another for a farewell gathering for a co-worker. These trays are so good, they were actually requested for the gathering!It's a perfect serving size for a gathering, or in these COVID days, for a family (particularly if you have teens that are in that constant "graze and grow" stage. Or, if it's just you or you and a special someone, you can spoil yourself!The flavor selection is great, the freshness is awesome, and it just looks very nice set out on a sideboard. These are NOT just "mixed nuts" like the cans that are on the edge of stale and weighed down with too much salt: as I said, the flavor is soooooo good, I was asked to make sure we had these for the farewell gathering.Also (and key point here for some), the seller is SUPER attentive to questions, concerns, and wants to do right by his customer. That's a huge selling point for me, and will keep me coming back.

I ordered two of these assorted nut containers for the year end holidays in 2018 from Hula Delights. One for my brother, another for my best friend and his wife. Everybody loved them. The packaging was great for gift giving, and all the nuts, fresh and delicious, the highest quality.I had one of them shipped to Chicago, IL by Amazon, the other to me in South Florida. The packages arrived almost immediately, many days earlier than they were supposed to, even late in the busy holiday season. And in perfect condition, that made me very happy!As an added point, my brother is not easy to please, that he loved them, is high praise. I wish I had ordered one for myself and my family, I will this year.It is just a terrific nut assortment, and Hula Delights obviously cares a lot about quality, which really matters to me, that is what I was paying for. After reading MANY reviews online for nut gift baskets, that is why I ordered from them, and I am glad I did.

I thought these nut gift trays were pretty good. They seemed fresh and not overly salted. I ordered four of them, and two arrived with the nuts of each section wrapped separately, and two arrived with the nuts just in the tray, not separately wrapped. I prefer that they NOT be wrapped individually, because that's just more plastic. My only real complaint is that there's a card insert that gives the nutrition information for each type of nut (almonds, pistachios, cashews, walnuts, macadamia nuts, and pecans) but I defy anyone to be able to read them. It appears to be in 4-pt type. I used a magnifying glass, because calories are important to me, but the information doesn't give serving or weight size, so I just don't know what the calories are. That is a major disappointment and will keep me from ordering again. For those who don't count calories, this won't matter at all.
