Satisfying & Stunning
Just received these yesterday and I am satisfied with the product. The hilt looks great and feels incredibly smooth when gripped with 1 hand or 2 hands. The 12 color options are really cool and the light in general is strong and satisfying. I tested the durability by clashing the sabers together and they seem to withstand slight to moderate force, but I would not go all out larping with these as others have pointed out that they can break easily with too much force. The fact that you get 2 sabers and can even setup a double bladed saber is fantastic! The downsides I see include: no ability to turn down or even turn off the sounds (the audio does sound pretty good though), you have to cycle through all of the RGB options every time you turn off and on the sabers, and it is pretty easy to hit the button which means you can accidentally cycle through the RGB options which is slightly annoying since you have to go all the way back through to get the color you want.Overall really cool and stunning product that is a great starting saber kit for all ages.

Great alternative for expensive sabers with realistic expectations
Update: company reached out and sent new. They are perfect with no issues. 100% would buy again and recommend.Original review:Got these for my sons 8th Birthday. Overall, for under $100 for two that connect, and the color choices and universal USB-C charging, they are great. We went a week after the initial charge and still had power. But have realistic expectations. Within the first 2 weeks of aggressive play between our 8 year old and friends, and 16 year olds too, we’ve lost both buttons (picture included) and cracked the tip in halve (another picture). But both work still, the noises work and impact noise works too. There appears to be something loose inside one of the swords but not sure what. I appreciate the included tools to tighten down everything.Pros:All said and done, very durable and work well.Cheap compared to high end models, much better than “box store” swords that break in minutes.Lots of colorsUniversal charger (USB-C)Tools needed included.Cons:buttons are clearly cheaply made. Lost ours but still able to push.Have to hit pretty significant to get noise. I thought it didn’t work initially but but then together and fully charge then hit them together. It works.Overall, I’d buy again, great entry level light sabers to ensure an investment in the high end ones is worth it.

Inexpensive, basic lighsaber capable of light dueling (combat play)
I purchased this set on sale at US$46 and for that price i feel the Lukidy lightsaber set was a good value. The hilts are made of a sturdy-feeling anodized aluminum with a metal power/function button. The hilts are plain and feature minimal detailing-- this makes them perfect for customization and weathering. You can also add some sports grip tape to enhance the appearance. The blades appear to be a substantial plastic material and can survive a decent clash during dueling but I'd NOT suggest a hearty two-handed smash! The plastic blade is secured into a metal collar by a couple of recessed hex set screws and this assembly screws into the hilt. Be careful-- the collar has only two or three threads so make sure the blade and collar assembly is snugly screwed into the hilt before swinging it around. I worry that, if loose, the scant threads on the blade collar could be damaged or destroyed, making re-attaching the blade difficult or impossible. The pair of hilts can be connected with the included threaded collar-- screw into the base of one hilt and screw the other hilt onto that and you have a Darth Maul-style double-bladed saber!SOUNDS AND FUNCTIONS:The Lukidy lighsabers feature ignition, swing, and clash sound effects. There are 12 different LED blade colors. There is also a "burst" effect (more on that later).SOUNDS: The lightsabers feature very basic sounds. The official electronic plastic "toy" Lightsabers that cost about US$30 and available just about anywhere Star Wars toys are sold feature a much larger sound sets! Single press the power/function button and the Lukidy lightsabers power on with a typical lightsaber "ignition" sound effect. Once on, there is no "idle" lightsaber hum effect. The Lukidy lightsaber is silent until you swing it. Swinging the lightsaber will trigger the "swing" sound effect. There is only ONE "swing" sound effect (by contrast the Hasbro "Lightsaber Forge" plastic toy Lightsabers feature four different sound effects). Striking the blade (or any part of the lightsaber) will trigger the "clash" sound effect. Again, there is only ONE clash sound effect compared to the multiple sound effects on other types and brands of lightsaber. To trigger the "burst" sound effect you double-press the power/function button. This causes the blade to flicker or flash (at a regular frequency, no dynamic or random flickering) and triggers a rather odd speech effect: a heavily modulated (Darth Vader-esque) voice says: "Remember, may the Force be with you." NOTE: this is NOT a sound sample from any of the movies. I believe this flicker/flashing effect was meant to simulate two lightsabers striking and "locking" together during a duel? However, the strange voice wishing the Force to be with you makes this effect annoying to activate. Another issue with the burst effect is that once triggered you must single-press the power/function button to turn it off. This also changes the blade color. It would have been nice to have the effect turn off with another double-press of the button but doing so only triggers the strange voice effect again.Mute: Triple-pressing the power/function button mutes the sound. A voice helpfully indicates "mute" or "unmuted." You can cycle through all the blade colors, swing the saber, and even activate the "burst" effect in silence.Bottom line: at US$23 per saber (or US$46 for the pair or as a "dual blade" saber) this is a good buy if you want an inexpensive saber to weather/modify for cosplay and to practice twirls or dueling. The very limited sound set and light effects compared to similarly priced official "toy" Lightsabers is disappointing.

Great lightsabers!
The media could not be loaded. Good solid build, has all essential functions. Color memory (same color comes back on as what you had when turning off), simple button work, good light and sound, color memory. The whole blade screws on and off with a metal cap into the handle, very solid. Getting the sound to mute is tricky (fast triple-press on button), but the overall button work is good. Mute function also has memory; if you mute and power the saber off, it stays muted when you power it back on. Like every toy, it would break if treated too roughly, but perfect for a 5-yr old, or older kid who knows to not use it like a baseball bat.

Great value and lots of fun!
The hilt is sturdy metal with good recessed button placement and authentic-sounding effects. Light and easy to swing around. Connecting the two to form a staff is easy and very solid. There are holes in the connector piece for easy separation should they be screwed together too tight. But the best thing I can say is that these are ridiculously fun.Update: After looking into this model a little more, it uses a different technology than some of my other lightsabers. They aren't as bright as some that I've had, but after spending some time with friends and with my young nephews, these are the ones that everyone kept wanting to play with. They look great in the dark, they have a weight and balance that makes them very approachable, and one of my nephews thought it was the greatest thing he's ever seen. I would get them again just because of how much they enjoy them, and this would make an excellent gift!
