Every feature of this mask is perfect. I was trying to wear a regular sleep mask with the elastic strap along with a CPAP. Even without the mask the straps were sometimes uncomfortable on and behind the ears. One morning I woke up and has slept so well that I did not toss and turn. Great thing. However my ear was very sore where it was on against the strap. I actually, a pretty healthy middle aged person, developed a pressure area from this. I immediately began looking at options as I work night and cannot sleep without a sleep mask and should not go without the CPAP mask to accommodate that. This mask is wide and soft on the side so I can actually wear it covering the ears entirely with no points of pressure whatsoever. I was afraid that the mask itself would rub against my eyelids/eyelashes as they are not sort of raised or carved out like other mask are that accommodate long lashes. This has not been a problem. The gel pads apparently frame the material just enough. I have not heated or cooled the pads so I cannot comment on that feature. I do notice, though, that it is definitely not hot just at room temperature it feels cool against the skin when I first put it on. Obviously I highly recommend. Especially for fellow CPAP wearers, it has made a huge difference in my compliance and quality of sleep.

This sleep mask is everything I had been looking for! I bought several different kinds, in the hope that at least one of them would work for me, and the King Pavonini was the only one that really blocks out light with no leaks around the sides or nose. It really does work! Some people may not like the weight - and it was a concern for me when I ordered it - but it turns out that for me, at least, it is a bonus (I actually like it!). The gel pack is a good part of the weight, but it can be removed from its pocket (and replaced) easily. I have not heated the gel pack as of yet, but I do appreciate the cold and find it comforting when I'm dealing with eye strain or migraines. I also like that it's a very soft and truly adjustable wrap,not ear loops or a thin band. While the portion that covers the eyes is not molded, I find that it is quite comfortable, even if/when I blink - but folks with eyelash extensions might find it problematic (or not). The Velcro strips that fasten it are well-sewn into both ends, and not only make it widely adjustable but they do not get caught in my hair.

I bought this as I am trying to fine tune my sleep cycles to get the best possible sleep. I tend to not feel well when my sleeping schedule changes. I recently discovered an article saying that having light in the room while you sleep could lead to health issues (maybe blood pressure & sugar levels?). Anyway, I had only borrowed a satiny sleep mask that my wife had gotten somewhere, so this product is only the second sleep mask I have ever tried. The satin sleep mask was much lighter, but the elastic band did put pressure on my head which I did not like. This soft cotton sleep mask seemed much bulkier, but surprisingly, it was much more comfortable with wrapping around my head and securing with the velcro. I left the gel pack in the first week and it didn't seem to contribute to extra bulk or weight. I then took the gel pack out and put it in the freezer and thought I would try it next time I got a headache. I did get a headache at some point, so I put the frozen gel pack in the zipper pouch of the sleep mask and quickly discovered that was not going to work. It was frozen flat so it only make contact at one point above my nose. Then I got the idea to drape it over a coffee can in the freezer to freeze it in a arching shape. Next headache I pulled it out, put it in the mask and gave it a try. When I woke up, the gel pack had ruptured and made quite a mess. I cleaned out the sleep mask as best I could, then ran it through the clothes washer. Now I don't even worry about the gel pack. The mask is soft and comfortable. Surprisingly, I do not get hot in it. Do I sleep better? Not sure, I am not taking any biometric data, but I like using it each night.

Been using this thing for a few days now and it’s very nice for keeping out light and it’s very comfortable. The fact that it wraps around the ears is nice to prevent irritation on the tops of the ears, but it doesn’t block any more sound than say a thin blanket.Definitely feel leaving the gel pad in the freezer is overkill tho. Tried it one time and it gave me a slight ache in my eyes. The fridge is plenty cold! Thankfully, the fabric hasn’t gotten too warm or sweaty when sleeping (for content, night where I am are in the 65-75 range).I would love if it came in more sizes, as I guess my head is a bit small lol. The straps overlap quit a lot on me and the bottom one reaches my ear, which requires some adjusting to keep it from getting uncomfortable. The velcro doesn’t feel the sturdiest, but it hasn’t fallen off yet.It’s definitely had me sleeping well into daylight without any idea that it was any brighter in my room haha, so alarms are very necessary now!

Both my husband and I love these! We each have several so when we wash them we still have one to use. We also have one that we only use to travel. They are soft, fully block the light and are adjustable for a loose or more snug fit. They come with a handy pouch that is great for travel. We love them!!!

I originally bought this as a gift for my partner, but it was so soft and comfortable that I decided to buy one for myself! I have a small head so I was worried there wouldn't be enough velcro for me to get a snug fit, but it's perfect! My partner has a pretty big head lol and it fits him well, so I'd say it will accommodate most head sizes.I like how it is a free-moving fabric instead of the sculpted, padded eye masks that I have had in the past because it packs more easily for travel and I can wash it with the rest of my laundry without any worries. As a result though it does put more pressure over your eyes, so if you're trying to protect your makeup it might not work well for that. I move a lot in my sleep and I had no issues with it slipping and sliding down my face or getting my hair caught in the velcro. I sleep on my back, stomach, and side, and it's comfortable in all positions.
