This is exactly what you look in for a backpack. To be light as kids usually carry a folder and bunch of other stuff in their bag and you don’t want the backpack also to be heavy. It is durable. My son had one last year and it looks new. Washable. Washed it couple of times and color didn’t change. It has varies sizes for kids in TK 1st and 2nd grade. And a larger size for 3 rd grad and up. I recommend this product. Very satisfied.

Perfect for 1st grader, enough room. Having the chest strap is a major plus for functionality and easy to carry. . If you’re looking for a cheaper option, this is worth the money. So far it seems pretty durable.

We are 8 months into the school year with this backpack (took me awhile to write a review), and it has held up well at the rough hands of my very physical little one - no holes nor broken zippers. The colors are still vibrant and super cute. I'm pleased with the durablity and quality, especially for the good price!

My son is a little mouse and he keeps chewing on everything including the straps on his old backpack. (he's not really a mouse) I needed a new backpack fast and not something too expensive. We purchased this one, and he loves it. It's much more roomier in the inside and you can fit a folder in a bag. His previous backpack we got from another brand did not. So this is a win!

Love this simple backpack for my first grader, I get tired of all the logos and characters etc. on kids clothing & shoes so the somewhat plain design in cool colors is a selling point for me. It’s held up well so far and doesn’t seem to attract dirt like some we’ve purchased.Only complaint is the slow shipping, which kept being changed by the seller and meant it didn’t arrive until 3 days after school started. Not a huge deal but I did order a few weeks ahead of time to make sure it would get here on time, so I was slightly annoyed since the backpack from last years was pretty grubby. Very happy with the purchase once it arrived though.

Why did you pick this product vs others?:Great backpack for my transitional kindergarten twin boys, who only need to pack a lunch box, a few papers, and a water bottle.

I got the bigger size for my 6.5 yr old, and the smaller size for my 3 yr old, and am very happy with both. The colors are cute, the stitching seems pretty sturdy, and the sizing is perfect. Will definitely keep purchasing these in the future.

My little guy in T-K picked it and still has it and takes to school daily.
