Perfect food sock
The sock is large, durable and easy to use. I have and will continue to purchase them.

Up your stock game
We store all our veg bits in these bags in the freezer and then take out and make veg stock when full. Makes the process so much easier.

Have to buy in bulk
We have used these for years for chicken soup. They make the process much easier. One sock is for the vegetables that will be discarded--just throw that sock away. One sock for the chicken, which is then separated into the meat parts that go back in the soup and one sock for the bones and other parts that are discarded. The "easy to clean" rating applies to the overall process. We don't try to clean the socks themselves. So, it gets rather expensive to buy the socks in small batches.

Great Product-Great Pricing
Now, I know not everyone has a use for 100 soup socks. but really if you don't use stock bags/soup socks you are missing out on a whole lot of convenience. I use them to (a) keep the bones of chicken and other poultry contained when cooking down for stock, (b) to keep vegetables contained (and free of debris) when cooking them with meat and stock (no strange bits and pieces on the carrots) and (c) to keep herbs and greens together so they can be plucked out of the stock/stew. For example, squash soup needs parsley and other herbs , but if you blend the parsley with the stock and squash when you finish the soup, the soup will be an ugly dingy greenish color. If you cook the parsley and herbs in a soup bag, pluck it out and then blend, the soup is a lovely vibrant (and appetizing) orange color. The discount on 100 was about 25% each of the pricing for packages of 3 or 12....and they don't spoil. So it was a no brainer.

Socks for food
These are a cool thing. I used them for making chicken soup this winter, and didn't have to deal with all the messy bones and skin floating everywhere. I have also used them in my pressure cooker to cook up a whole chicken. I used to do it with out these socks, but the chicken would fall apart as soon as I would raise up the rack. This way it all stays together and makes it to the platter. They are a nice size and will be trying it with multiple foods and processes.
