The media could not be loaded.  This smasher worked perfectly to make smash burgers on the griddle. The trick is to use a large piece of parchment paper so that grease does splatter on you. If grease splatters on you, it's not the smasher's fault. It is one piece of metal so it will get hot if you leave it on the food, so have an oven mitt handy if you're using it as a bacon or other food press.I'm smashing 3 oz balls of hamburger meat in the video. They were the perfect size for the hamburger buns.I had a question for the seller and they were very responsive. 5 stars all around.

A hit for the 4th of July

This burger press is solid and works as intended. Easy to clean and even dishwasher safe, although I generally hand wash it. My only grip is that I wished they had rounded the edges some instead of the sharp corners for use in a stovetop pan.

I have other cast iron presses, but wanted a light weight one for packing in a bin for camping. This works.

Works great, especially on Blackstone Griddle. Use it for Smash Burgers all the time!

I started off making smash burgers using a wide spatula to press on them. I found it was difficult to apply the right pressure, even using a 2nd spatula to apply more pressure. It also meant getting my hands really close to a hot griddle.This tool allows me to directly apply more pressure to a burger to get a good smash, and keeps my hand further from the heat. Construction is sturdy, and the stainless steel means I can toss it in the dishwasher. My only gripe is that it’s really a single-purpose gadget, and I usually don’t like those cluttering up the kitchen storage. However, this one has proven its worth!

I take 1/3 cup of ground beef, roll it into a ball, place it in the middle of a frypan on high heat, please a piece of parchment paper a little larger than the press on top of it, take the press and press it down hard to make a smash burger. The press seems very well made. I'm very happy with this purchase.
