I really wanted to like this board! I'm so heart broken that it's so garbage. Here is why;* The board does not roll out flat. It curves and waves. First of all, this alone made me want to return the board. Secondly, the software is really reliant on the pieces being positioned correctly. When they just fall out of place because of the hills and valleys on the board. Well..* A subscription service seemed to be a bit over-the top for me to be able to play more than 5 matches against an adaptive AI. IF the physical experience was flawless, I might not have reacted to it and just paid.* Very unhelpful customer service. Som person replied, saying that "I would like to bring to your attention that for the straight and curly board, it is recommended to roll it on the opposite side and to maintain the weight for a specified duration." - I have no idea what that means. Maintain the weight?

The pieces and the board itself provide comfortable playing experience as they are huge so that very instructive. This way, playing online games are fun.

It a very good board I did have some problems with the app a couple of days ago and there's was no online support. Concerning the Bluetooth connecting with lechess and chess.com, but now it seem they fixed it and it's working 👍 GREAT

Board looks greatI have left mine flat as I only use it at my deskBattery life is goodEasy to get games on Lichess and chess.comNew company support is much better, they are responsive to emails and will follow up with phone call.I had to download the Miko chess app to use as the Apple Store does not have a chess off app at this time.The app works great

So I just got my pro square off today . played a couple of games . ( lost ) really only one game because the first one had black starting and I abandoned the game when I realized the pieces were setup wrong. But I admit that mistake.Now , onto the game . - might I mention that the AI Adaptive version of game is only free for 5 games (?) So , this considered, it looks like their app has premium pricing that you'll be paying extra for.Okay , sorry but just had to throw that in . - I played a Manuel ELO set for 1380 .I'm a bit rusty so thought I'd just play there. After some development moves , I castled . Shortly thereafter, the red light came on ( states error ) and made me take back my castling as though it never happened. Needless to say this pretty much ruined my position. It commenced to slaughter me , and then the red light came on once more and it put a bishop back on the board, which I knew wasn't there before. Now , when this happens, you have to allow it to cheat , or just resign . So I put the bishop down where they said it was and played on . .. That right there was my first impression. Now , unboxing it , it's well packaged. The issue? - no instructions at all .Comeon , we're talking decent money and the company can't throw in a 2 or 3 page manual. ?? Even went online at this point to their company website, but the information is scarce. I simply wanted to know if we should charge the internal battery before first use , which I assumed would be procedure, but they just talk about turning it on and playing with it plugged in .So I'm still at the point of scratching my head . I'm going to give it a few more hours to see if the RED charging light goes out , and then maybe try a few more games to see if it straightens out so to speak .I hate to return something, but so far, I'm not impressed with the way the company neglects the customer after the sale , in particular, I'm talking about no instruction manual. This model has been out now for about 3 years, and thats plenty of time to produce some paperwork.I shouldn't have to search the web for answers. - No one should.I will update this review in one week or so and if it's not updated, then my review 'as is' will stand .
