Can I plug this directly to the UK electric sockets?

No, it doesn't and it is not 220v so will not work in the UK with just an adapter. I had to buy a transformer for £80! this seller didnt offer free returns so I was going to pay £70 or £80 to ship it back. They didnt want to do a full refund even though they admitted it was the policy as it was high costs for them. So I was forced to keep it as it was more expensive to return it. find another seller that has a 220v, 3 pin electric plug and that ships from the UK. the rice is worth it though
