A great modern love story
A modern love story can often leave an old romantic wanting more. Fireworks, however, had me smiling through most of it. Daniel and Steven are written with an authenticity that resonates in their every interaction. There were definite laugh-out-loud moments here, especially from the background players. A great story that made me wish it was longer. I'm greedy like that, I guess. I'm definitely looking forward to more of this author's work. Bravo!

A sweet, humorous, sexy read
I just finished Fireworks and am surprised that this is this author's first book. The likability of the two main characters pulls you right into the story. After a heartbreaking end to an 8 year relationship, Daniel has no desire to commit to anyone. Steven, who happens to live across the street from Daniel's sister (just part of Daniel's loving, buttinsky family), is looking for love. The two begin spending time together with Daniel trying to keep some distance. Trying to work out these differences, with Daniel's past coming back to haunt him, while Daniel's family does their best to to make sure they work it out, is not easy. The end result is a sweet, humorous, and sexy read.I loved this book a lot! I know I will be reading it again!

A cracking read!!
This book had sparks flying, plenty of banging and left me with a warm glow at the end.I loved the main characters Daniel and Stephen,; the banter between them as well as the hot sex!Daniel's family dynamics also added to the story, their closeness and obvious love for each other. Relationships can be complicated , especially when there two very different personalities are involved and an ex for good measure!. Expect some twists and turns and some very raunchy scenes, but also some laughs and warm fuzzy moments too!!

real romance
Love is centre if this plot line. Our characters come to together, conflict and entrap like the opposites they are but through that conflict they create a deep bond. It felt like there should have been more drama involving the antagonist because of the build up but I'm glad the plot wasn't taken in that direct. This is a mature novel, but still perfect for those with a sense of romance. A Yaoi lover will truly enjoy this piece.
