Is it hard to remove from the bottle?

It's so simple. With just a slight twist, it will come off. Removing the plug is indeed very easy, unlike sealing other brands of plugs. Therefore, before placing it anywhere, test it for leaks. I'm surprised it didn't actually leak. It's vacuumed perfectly and easy to use for wine preserver.

Does it work for screw top bottles?

It doesn't work on any bottle. They're a great idea but the suck.

What is the difference from other original corks？

Once you remove the original cork the bottle fills with air. If you can get the original cork back in, the air is still there and affects the taste. By pumping the stopper, the air is vacuumed out thus preserving the taste.
