OK when it works!
Love it but the torch button became faulty after 6 months! Couldn't depress the button using thumb. Had to use my thumb nail to depress it.

Glad I bought one
The touch is good, alarm sounds loud, but I haven't used the alarm outside yet. Happy with it.

New 2025 design has many flaws. Old design was much better. Too expensive considering the flaws.
OLD VERSION:Very nice gadget for self defense and emergencies with easy to operate buttons which don’t accidently get pressed in the pocket. The alarm is loud and the strobe is bright..Also has two light modes for torch. Only negatives are that there is no strobe function without the alarm , and the usb charging port cover broke off very quickly (doesn’t effect function of product in anyway) and also it’s a little too expensive (paid £13.50 but should and could be £10) for what it is but it is high quality so can’t complain too much about price. Overall a must buy in my opinion.NEW VERSION IN 2025:So i wanted to buy a backup for the justop panic alarm and was disapointed to see that they changed the design. I bought is anyway for £14.99. Big mistake. The old one was a button press activated design which held its battery charge really well, and felt great to hold and activate. The new one is in the style of all the other panic alarms with a pull tab which i hate. It feels strange to hold and the button press still turns on the light. But the light was very dim. Maybe i got a faulty one, i dont know. The battery is pathetic and doesnt hold its charge for more than a week. The old one would hold its charge for months. I am so dissapointed as the old justop alarm was almost perfect. it just needed a way to activate the strobe without pressing the alarm. Now they have completely ruined the entire design and it barely works for even a week without recharging it. I hope this company goes back to the old design so i can buy a backup for that one. This new one is complete garabge.EDIT:i was perhaps too harsh with my review of the 2025 model. i gave it one star. The original is still better and i would rate is 4.5 stars. But this new model does have some perks. The battery life is bad compared to the old one, i noticed it ran out from full charge to empty in around 1 or 2 weeks when i first bought it. this is unacceptable. The original could go months wihtout charging and it would still activate. Also i do not like the pullin pin activation for the alarm because these systems break alot. Indeed with this new model a few times i pulled the pin and put it back and it wouldnt connect and the alarm kept going, i had to reinsert the pin several times before the alarm went off. Not good. The pin on this one is built more sturdy than other alarms on the market so the quality is decent, but i have already experinced problems when deactivating the alarm which is standard for all of these pin based alarms. Which is why the original was so effective as it had a button activation which was very hard to press accidently and so was perfectly designed. Now for the positives. The new design does have a motion activated alarm feature which is pretty awesome. SO basically you double press the side button to arm the motion alarm and if the deivice moves the alarm goes off. Long press the button to deactivate. This is useful for guarding luggage and attaching to door knobs. Very cool feature that would be a huge selling point if the battery life was not an issue. Another positive is how loud the alarm is, although i have found that sometimes it randomly becomes quiet, so is inconsistant overall. Another positive is that you can now activate the strobe without the alarm. But the light is so dim the torch and the strobe are less effective. There is also no longer a low and bright light torch, only low and strobe. So overall, i was perhaps too harsh giving this new re design a 1 star. I am upgrading to a 3 stars due to decent build quality and the motion alarm feature. But i still have had problems with the pin connecting, and the dim light, and inconsistant alarm volume, and poor battery life. So its fustrating to not have the original design available. But this new design isnt all bad either. For £14.99 i expect better performance and quality overall.

Don't believe the hype
I have measured the db and it does not reach 130 as advertised. In a quiet room , it only reached about 90 db which when outside with any surrounding noises, I doubt that any person would be alerted to your needs. The torch is as bright as any normal torch and just like a normal torch , it would be mildly uncomfortable if you directed the light exactly to the eyes. I think that a loud whistle would attract more attention.
