***UPDATE - 15 MAY 2019***We bought our first pair on 10 April 2018. We bought a second pair a few days ago. The old ones still work as good as the day we got them. We bought her a second pair because the others are lost. We ordered (and received) the 2019 upgraded pair. They are AWESOME!!! The upgraded pair has a much improved plug-in. This one is angled rather than straight. This will help a lot to avoid bending the plug-in and also will help the "joint" not to wear out and cause shorts (which the old ones never did). They also added a control on the cord. It has a switch to change between 85 and 94 decibels, so that's great. The button allows you to pause what you are watching, which she loves...she feels grown up having switches on her cord just like mommy and daddy. Our daughter thinks that is so cool (she is now just shy of 4). They also now fit her great without the need for the athletic tape I mentioned in my original review. We also bought a carry case for these and they fit great! They also work perfectly with the Nintendo New 2DS XL, the Nintendo Switch, and the WiiU gamepad. I stand by my original 5 star review. We never had an issue with the old ones and they still function perfectly. This is a MIRACLE because our daughter is SUPER rough with things. These have served as a "leash" for stuffed animals, they have been dragged around by the plug-in on hardwoods and finished concrete floors, thrown in epic toddler meltdowns, been the rope in tug-of-war, and have been handled, in general, quite rough (to say the least lol) and they still function perfectly - the sound is fine. Plus, the cord does not have short-outs even though there are some knicks in it. I cannot recommend these headphones enough! They are good enough that we bought this second pair when the first pair was misplaced. I expect this new, upgraded pair will be just as good. I will update further should anything happen. You will NOT be disappointed in these iclever headphones!!!Original Review -We bought our 2.5 yo daughter a kindle fire kids edition this past Christmas. We were looking for something cute, comfortable, and with decibel restriction. These fit the bill. We opted for this style over the one with light up ears because that's just one more thing that could break lol. Simple is best for us with our toddler! Shipping was uneventful and fast. We got exactly what we ordered. There were no bent or broken pieces. We bought the pink ones.Our daughter had been asking for headphones for a long time because mommy, daddy, and big brother use earbuds and headphones. This pair had everything we wanted in a pair of first headphones for her. She absolutely loves them! They were a little bit big for her. To be fair, it does say ages 3 and up so it's not worth taking off a star. She won't be 3 until the end of May. They fit on her head fine...but it was when she looked down or too far back, they would slide of the top of her head. They fit over her ears fine. So, what we did was...you know that athletic tape that sticks to itself but isn't sticky? Well, we got some of that and wrapped it over the middle portion of the band where it goes across the top of the head. That worked like a charm. And no, her hair does NOT stick to it or in it whatsoever. It's worked awesome! So, that took care of the fit issue...and it can be easily removed, and without any residue, when she gets a tad bit bigger.The sound is great and the decibel limiting works perfectly. They work great with the Samsung Note 9, 8, LG V20 and V30, Samsung Galaxy S2 9.7 tab, Kindle Fire 8 Kids Edition, and the Kindle Fire HD 10. Those are all the devices we have, and we have tried these headphones on every single one of them. Sound was great on them all too.Bottom line...for the price, you can't beat these headphones. They are perfect for kids. They fit great (and can be easily altered to fit at the crown when too big), they have a good range as far as adjustments at the ear pad for a growing child, the sound is great and the decibel limiting feature is great too, the no tangle cord is a great feature, and they are super cute! The kitty ears are a great touch for little kids! They have, what seems to be, a sturdy jack too. Our toddler can easily plug them in and take them out. We did caution her to be easy and careful and we showed her where to pull when pulling them out. Never pull the cord...that will speed up the cord shorting out on you...this is true for anything like this. So she puts them in and pulls on the actual jack. She really loves these headphones. They have been a lifesaver in the car or while waiting somewhere. We always get lots of compliments when she uses them in public. They work today exactly as they did when she opened them on Christmas morning 2017. The facts that she loves them, they still work well months later, and how cute they are warrants the 5 stars from us. The look on her face in the photo says it all....she loves them!***UPDATE*** 11 NOV 2018So, these headphones are still alive and kicking. She uses them all the time. We have since upgraded our Note 8s to the Note 9s and these headphones work well with those too. She is NOT easy on these things. She will put them on, not connected to her tab, and drag the jack behind her. A few times she also drug them by the jack with the headphones on the ground "walking her dog" 🤦‍♀️ They have been thrown in threenager temper tantrums, they've been dropped, and stretched. They have survived it all and still look brand new. The sound is still great, and the jack has not come loose. She puts them in and pulls them out of her tab by herself most times, and the jack still fits tightly and snaps in. The port on the tabs have not gotten loose at all (like charge ports seem to). We did teach her to pull on the jack itself and not on the cord, so she inserts/disconnects them properly and I'm sure this has helped in the longevity of the jack/cord. The decibel limiting is still great and functions as it should. The wire is still perfect...the flat, tangle free silicon (?) cord is wonderful in that it also keeps the jack intact at its attachment point on the cord and there are no spots where the cord is fraying or showing wires, and thus, no shorts. She is 3.5 now and bigger, so we have taken the athletic tape off of the middle of the head band. There was no residue and they fit her perfectly in the smallest position. These things are truly kid proof. Our daughter is extremely rough on things. The fact that it is now almost a year later and these still look and function the same as the day she got them says it all. These have been a lifesaver in the car and in doctor offices, etc. We always get compliments on them...people seem to love her cat ears. I stand by my original review. Don't think about it any longer....these headphones are awesome and you won't go wrong buying them for your littles!

Got my daughter for school and it's built to last. No complaints here

We're about 3 weeks in and still going strong. These got a squeal and dance of delight from 5yo. She still loves her "kitty headphones". Too early to say much about durability--her last pair made it past a year, though some of her cousins' headphones started falling apart less than 2 months in. But so far so good. The material seems really "springy" and seems unlikely to snap. The volume control seems to work as advertised. No annoying extra piece to keep track of and plugged in to make the noise limiting work. And the button takes enough intentional action that she's not just bumping it off (there's another pair of headphones in the house with a volume scroll wheel that will rub against a chair arm and turn itself up really loud!! Ack.). So all as advertised. Very, very pleased so far.**edit** Update 6 months in. These are the best. No notes. Still working great, comfy, no sign of wear and tear despite getting dropped, the cord getting yanked and getting rolled over with a chair repeatedly and other kids-are-hard-on-things incidents. I love the peace of mind knowing they're food grade materials against her skin, and the volume limiting (I still try to keep well below "max" but at least there's a reasonable hard limit just in case. And she's still really happy wearing them.(I hope they'll expand the design selection of the food grade silicone ones--this was clearly the perfect pair for her, but it'd be great if our housemate's kids could all have different ones without them mixing up whose was whose.)

They broke within one month of regular use! My daughter was supposed to use them the whole school year now they aren’t making proper connection with the audio port on her Chromebook! Too bad my return window closed, electronic products are a flop from hereUPDATE 10/25/2023: The seller reached out to me and offered a full refund for my inconvenience. Although I was disappointed with the products lack of durability I will say their customer service is excellent.

My 4 year old is so rough on headphones. This is her fourth pair – all different brands and styles – and so far they’re holding up great. By far the best kid headphones we’ve purchased. They feel really well made right out of the package – not flimsy like some others we’ve bought. The sound quality is good and they’re really cute. She is so super picky about fit and has gotten so frustrated with other brands that she’s kicking and whining because they’re slipping off of her head or she can’t get them to sit right, so this has been a wonderful change that they seem to be very comfortable and easy to adjust. She even said “I love these headphones!” Her last ones lasted a month before the cord literally broke off of the plug when she was taking them off of the ipad. We’ve had these for month so far and they’re still going strong. Very happy.UPDATE: I was just thinking this morning how well these have held up. Literal daily use for the past 8 months - and she is not gentle. I have to give credit where credit is due. These things are awesome! Highly recommend.
