Well built hatchet
I needed/wanted a very well built hatchet for carrying in my Jeep and RV. I have several CRKT knives so I am familiar with their quality. I was not disappointed. Highly recommended.

Handle lets it down
I haven't tried it yet, but first impression is that the handle is of plastic with no where near enough heft or texture. I'm sure it's super glass reinforced and not going to break, but it sure feels cheap. Use the thong, wear gloves for grip, be safe, it is sharp. I'm sure it's going to be a functional tool once I put the grip tape on that they should have from the factory. If I don't follow up, it worked fine but for the above mentioned.

Small but mighty
I recently decided to add a small hatchet to my hiking bag to pair off with a Laplander folding saw for firewood processing on overnight+ trips. At 13 inches and less than a pound and a half with a splitting maul head; any rounds I can cut with the Laplander this hatchet destroys. It is a bonafide kindling machine. Please note that it is shipped unsharpened.
