Helpful
I got this when I needed erasers for my charcoal set. I thought the erasers would be bigger, but they are just fine because you can just keep kneading them, and they get clean! As far as I know, I don't think it wears down. It feels the same sizes since I first got it and kneaded it so I think it will last me a long time before I would not be able to use it anymore. This is fairly cheap so there's nothing to complain about :)

Cleanly erases
I use these for correcting drafting changes/mistakes because they completely eliminate lines that would otherwise confuse the accurate rendition. If one is using a particularly soft pencil, they are also excellent for removing any smudges created as one's hand rubs the page.I cannot speak to the local v. Amazon price differential since, given my rural area, it's cheaper for me to buy through Amazon than trek to the nearest supply store 30 miles away. Regardless of one's source, I very highly recommend these.Ed

Rock hard
The rubber was hard when I got it. I thought I could make do. Nope. This thing is a brick. Best to buy from an art supply store where you can tell if they're fresh or not.

Good value.
A bit small, but still a good deal for this basic sketching need.

An essential tool for the those who work with charcoal or graphite
This grey putty eraser is a hard worker. It easily lifts all but the darkest, heaviest-laid marks -- and without leaving behind the typical eraser residue mess. Before beginning an oil painting, I often do my composition lightly with either vine or willow charcoal on my canvas or panel (and then spray with fixative before painting). I always have a kneadable eraser clutched in my left hand as I'm sketching with my right. The eraser works by absorbing the graphite and charcoal particles which you can then "knead" back into the putty. The plasticity of the putty allows you to change the shape to perform whatever erasure or lightening you wish -- from a thick slab for large areas to pressing an edge of the putty into a point that will allow you to clean up the edges of some of your drawn shapes. It seems like these erasers are getting smaller than they used to be. I usually knead two packs together now to get the larger size that feels most comfortable in my hand.Because the dirty areas are constantly getting folded or kneaded back into the putty, the eraser eventually needs to be replaced. I'm surprised at how much charcoal and graphite the putty can take in, though, before it becomes less effective and has to be pitched.

Good little kneaded rubbereraser.
Just a kneaded rubber eraser but this brand doesn’t disappoint. Works perfectly and I use it a lot because I am not one of those artists who draws it right the first time... Hence the need for a good eraser. I put a ribbon through it and I wear it around my neck so I won’t lose it and it has given me no complaints.

Great eraser
I have used these for about 15 years and have always enjoyed using them on artwork and for erasing on regular papers. They knead nicely and can get in corners or small spots on artwork where other erasers have a hard time, because they can be made into a point or made into a very slim line. Lifting is better than rubbing when you use these. And yes, they make a great stress reliever, just as the others have said.

Terrible. Not kneadable at all
Arrived hard as a rock. Have tried everything to soften the eraser but it is completely dried out. You're better off buying it in a store so you can check if it's actually kneadable.

Kneadable rubber for colour pencil drawing.
Good and effective, but should come with its own box.

Don't buy this. It's not kneadable.
On 20th February 2024 I got this delivered and yesterday when I tried to knead it, it just teared down to two pieces.
