Flimsy Construction
It heats the water. And It didn’t explode and spill water all in my stove like my previous kettle, which I bought from eBay, but that’s pretty much the only good thing. It doesn’t whistle when the water has begun boiling. It sort of wheezes and moans and I’m never sure if it’s the kettle boiling or the cat’s sick. It’s somewhat poorly made. Flimsy, unsteady construction. It wobbles when I pick it up. The handle spins out of alignment with the spout on occasion and I’m always afraid that it will just come off one day and the kettle will go crashing to the ground. 3rd degree burns and no one to sue. I will not buy this again.

excellent product at a great price
All in all a nice kettle. The whistle can be a bit louder. The nice part of this is the you will not run into problems with lead solders that many kettles have at the seams. When the lead solders melts, you could be ingesting it. The sis a very safe and healthy kettle since is is all glass.

Hot handle
Like that it's easy to clean but that handle gets HOT!

Smaller Than Advertised
Definitely not 80 ounces or 12 cups. I filled mine with about 50 ounces of water and that was it.
