Great for the techno-phobic uncle!
Bought this for my techno-phobic uncle. He loves it. The clear large screen and simple buttons are ideal for him to make calls and send simple texts. He loves the little flashlight and the SOS button has given him real confidence to be out on his farm again. The best feature is the clam shell auto-answering. Being short sighted, the ability to open the phone to immediately answer a call makes this phone far easier for him to manage and far quicker to use rather than squinting at the buttons for the answer button. Great job.

Great, big button flip phone for my mum in law
Those who don't need an expensive smart phone but one that makes calls and texts with a battery life of forever, then this is for you. Mum loves it, in fact this is a replacement for a dropped one, unfortunately they aren't good when dropped on concrete as they don't bounce very well. Very good basic phone that just works.

Ideal for the older person on their own
I bought one these phones for myself as I just wanted a simple easy to use phone with big buttons and a clear display. I also like led the clamshell design which makes it very easy to keep in my pocket. I liked it so much I showed it to a more elderly friend of mind and she also liked the emergency button which could be programmed to ring someone in the case of an emergency. She also liked the way it would ring additional people in the event of the first nominated person not answering. Needless to say my friend has also ordered one of these phones and is very pleased with it. The only negative thing for her is that she would like the volume when talking to someone to be louder but she is a little on the deaf side.

Very easy for elderly person
I bought this phone for my 87 yr old father as he'd lost the back of his previous phone and the battery kept falling out. He's not very good with phones and still hasn't learned how to text but this little phone is very easy. Basically to do most stuff, you only need to use the right and left buttons which are back and select. Even he can manage that. To demonstrate how bad he is with phones, when it arrived, I put the sim card in it and gave it back to him. The next day he said he wasn't happy with it, he'd had it on charge all night and he cou;dn't even get it to turn on. When I looked at it, there as no battery in it! He'd been trying to charge it without even putting the battery in. Anyway, since then, he's been getting on fine with it. My only gripe is that the ring tones are awful and the SMS tones that come with it are too long. If you put a micro sd in it, you could add some of your own, but I haven't done that and he's making do with the standard tones.

Good Basic Phone
I bought this for the Domestic Authority, who slammed her car tailgate down on her old phone. This action seemed to exceed the phone's specifications, and she brought it home in a small bucket. It kept dialling 112 in her handbag anyway; she's been on the Fire Brigade, Police, Ambulance and Coastguard's holiday rotas and Christmas card lists for some time now, so no great loss. So, what's this one like? First impression is the build quality; it's very good. All the bits fit properly, with no gaps where there shouldn't be gaps and a nice fluid feel when you flip it open. The keys have a nice feel, too; just the right amount of pressure so you know when you've pressed and when you haven't pressed. The phone is small, like many flip-phones, but not tiny. You won't be pressing three buttons at once. I was going to give it only four stars, because of the lack of features; on reflection, that seemed unfair as they don't claim it does anything it doesn't. In fact, there's only one irritation: it doesn't support vcards, so you're going to be putting all your contacts in manually, just like the old days. Have fun.Overall, it's a great phone if you just want that: a phone, with no bells or whistles, and it should be on your shortlist. I'm not keen on flip-phones, but the DA absolutely loves it, which is the important thing, and that says it all really. And brownie points for me.

Perfect for older generation who only want to use the phone for basic stuff like making and receiving calls. My only complaint would be thatit is too easy for a person to press the sos button. My husband did it whilst he was out and he didn't even realised he'd touched it. On the other hand maybe it needs to be easy to access, so not sure what the answer is to that one. Good basic phone. With big clear numbers and screen.
