I was diagnosed with Polymyalgia Rheumatica several years ago. I was prescribed Prednisolone (steroids) and strong painkillers. As soon as the steroids were stopped, the pain returned. Pain killers no longer worked. I was in agony in every joint and muscle in my body. I tried Turmeric and black pepper without any great expectation that it would work. The result was nothing short of dramatic. I am now completely pain free so long as I take my daily pill.

As with all pain killers , if it's going to work it will work straight away. This high dose extract took all the sharpness away from my own arthritic pain leaving a much more bearable dull ache, and as a consequence I feel much better in myself. Into the third week now, no further improvement, but the sharp pain has not returned. As far as I am concerned, this is money well spent so far - I hope it lasts.

I have recently developed pain from an arthritic hip, and the physio said 2x Nurofen and paracetamol 3x a day for 2 weeks minimum, which doesn't seem like a long term solution. I followed their instructions, and it made very little difference to the pain and stiffness.On the third week, a friend made me some golden paste, and within a few doses, my hip felt good enough to come off the painkillers. I was so impressed at the effects of turmeric, I then looked at clinical trial data for curcumin, assessed the dosage (between 500 and 1500mg for trials data I could find) and decided to try some curcumin capsules, to maximise the anti inflammatory effect and minimise the mess and inconvenience of golden paste.I have taken 2 a day for a month and I have not had any significant hip issues (unless I've spent a day on my feet, walking, carrying things). I'm about to order my second bottle. I'm hopeful I can now get back to strength training to ensure the supporting muscles are protecting the hip, and stretching to improve my mobility.

Purchased to ward off sticky brain cells after listening to a radio 4 show about Alzheimer's. The active ingredient of a new treatment was Curcumin. Also Turmeric is supposed to be good for inflamation. No idea if it is working, ask me in 20 years and I'll tell you, if I remember the question.

Arthritic knees are a lot less painful now that I have been taking these for about 3-4 months. Winter will be the real test.
