Q: Can i use this lighter to light a ''quick light Charcoal Disks ?

arc lighters are meant to heat candle wicks which are small diameter and have low thermal mass. I doubt you would have much luck lighting a "puck", assuming you could get a part of it in between the contacts of the arc lighter.

Q: Can this be taken on a plane?

Doubtful, can't take lighters...etc.

Q: I have severe arthritis in my hands. Is this easy to turn on?

This is vary easy to use. I don’t know how bad your hands are but this is the first time I can easily light a candle…I have no strength in my hands either, I think these would be worth a try .

Q: How do you put on the safety lock?

there is a black slide button, push it all the way towards the front to expose a small push button nearthe charge indicator lights, press this button to activate the igniter and release that button to end the igniting process, return slide button to its original position to turn off the unit. the same instructions apply to both units
