Q: Would these liners allow rice to be cooked in the steamer?

Honestly, I am not sure! But I do know that you can steam rice to perfection with using one of these in a bamboo steamer! I have all 3 sizes and use them ALL the time! Hope this helps!

Actual diameter 9". My steamer basket is slightly smaller but they work fine.

Q: Does the food stick to the paper at all? Do you need to use the scrapper to remove the food?

The food hardly sticks to the parchment. If it does, it's like a pastry that can be removed easily.
