How to use the solar angel light

I put this on my baby sisters grave. It has an easy on off button. I put it out in the morning and that evening it was glowing!

I see most of this is resin, but will the battery compartment/screws hold up to salt air next to the ocean without corroding?

Does anything? I would suspect that anything requiring batteries, and is outside in the elements, would need regular maintenance to prevent corrosion

Item only stays lit for a couple hours. Any suggestions why?

After a month the light no longer work and we’ve had plenty of sunshine.
