I heard someone talking about jerky and it got me wanting it so I went to Amazon and stumbled across this heavenly treat. I saw the picture of the Bacon jerky and I immediately started salivating. The pictures make it seem to appetizing that I thought it would be worth it to try. After cleaning up my drool, I promptly ordered the 1 lb bag because if you're going to go, go all out. I loved the fact that it has simple, natural ingredients and that it is made fresh when you order so I figured it was going to be a treat. Then you add the fact that it won an LA Times award for "Best Homemade Gift" in 2013 and all of the 5 star reviews, I thought this is going to be awesome. Then the packaged arrived and it was quicker than I anticipated, which was awesome! It gave me a few day window and it arrived on the first day of the window. After I peeked through the clear part of the bag I starting drooling again. The only way to stop was to get some of it in my mouth. I opened the bag and there was a sweet smell. The jerky looked great. I put my hand in the bag and I have to admit that I was taken back from the wetness of the jerky. I guess I was expecting it to be more dry but that also meant that it was going to be juicy, which is huge for me. After trying my first piece, I was hooked. The best way to describe this is that it takes like a steak that has been marinating in a sweet sauce. It was so tender that you probably do not even need teeth to chew it. There are literally explosions of flavor in every bite. I looked around my office and thought, I don't want to share any of this because it is soooo good but then I also wanted to share my finding to the entire world! I let some co-workers try and they were hooked. They agreed that this is the best jerky they've ever had. Since my first purchase, I have bought a bag for my parents and I am splitting another one with a co-worker. I will say that if you are expecting traditional jerky, that you will be disappointed because this is not. It is a way better, more moist and flavorful snack that you will not need to rip apart like other jerky. It is expensive jerky but it is worth every penny. Do yourself a favor and give it a try and I promise that you will not be disappointed!

So not only is it jerky, but it's BACON JERKY, and it sweet and Smoky---shut up and take my money.Well, it is a bit expensive for that, but boy was it delicious. It is a dried, thick cut bacon strips that has a tremendous smokiness and coated with a sweet, possibly brown sugar glaze. It's messy do dig you hand in the package (it's probably better to empty it out on to something, but you probably shouldn't eat that much at once), but it is definitely worth it. I will say that the glaze had a bit of oiliness or texture that makes the snack "imperfect", but that can easily be rectified by heating up the meat which is recommended on the package. My package, for your information, was gold and not red as photographed.If you love bacon, you must try this, but realize this is sugar covered bacon, so try not to eat it all in one sitting. (I realize that may be hard to resist). This and Golden Island Natural Style Pork Jerky, Korean Barbecue Recipe are the best jerkies I've had to date.

It was a little bit soggier than I was expecting, I like my jerky dry but it was right there in the title so that's my fault. Still, it was delicious and I finished it much sooner than I was expecting.

I was excited to see this bacon jerky, the picture looks great and it looks yummy! I am in the military half way around the world, so it took about a month to get here. It was packaged well, and double sealed. When I opened it, I wasn't sure if it was human food or cat/dog food because of the smell, it was super greasy, and it looked raw. I had to literally double check that this was edible for human consumption just because it smelt like it was an animal treat or something. Once I seen this was in-fact the jerky that I ordered and not a mistake, I took a bit and was EXTREMELY UNSATISFIED to say the least. So I asked about 15-20 people to see how they liked it, and absolutely nobody liked it. I wanted to give it away to someone else because I didn't want my $35 to go to waste, and you'd think that at least someone would take free food on hand when the food and delivery system out here both suck, but not one person would take it! I'm hoping that maybe I got bad batch, but I guess I will never know because I damn sure will never pay for another. Good luck, I hope others don't have the same experience as me.

Howdy shoppers, it's Wild Willy here with a must read before you order review. If you are hankerin' for some candied bacon, then it's TIME TO COWBOY UP! Forget about that sugary crunchy meat candy, and wrangle yerselves up some of this Bak Kwa from this merchant! This is bacon at its finest, slightly sweet, slightly spicy, tender yet a tad chewy, with a mildly charred finish. Why we never came up with this recipe here remains a mystery, but someone in Singapore did ages ago, and really came up with the best way to cook bacon! This product is as good as any in Singapore, and probably the best here in the good 'ol U S of A. You really gotta try this, you will never have any regrets; If you don't try at least a small sack of it, I gar-un-tee that y'all will regret that decision for the rest of your life. Second guessing yourself is never fun. Seems a bit pricey, but given the labour, care and quality of ingredients it is far from pricey. In conclusion, Fantastic, big belt buckle good taste.
