e-shave Products are Top Shelf
I am a Sandalwood junkie so when I saw that e-shave was offering an orange sandalwood scent, I jumped right on it. The pre shave oil is wonderful stuff. It is lubricating, protective and is a great prerequisite for the orange sandalwood shave cream which I will review separately. I have just recently added pre shave oil to my shaving routine after some skepticism that oil would kill the lather. Nothing could be further from the truth. The oil provides a nice slick base upon which to build your lather and it assures that your blade will glide effortlessly across your skin. The whole secret to a great shave is unrushed proper preparation. I have this oil and I also have The Art of Shaving Sandalwood pre shave oil which us a bit thicker but both perform equally well. Happy Shaving!!

Better than I initially gave this credit for
I originally felt this pre-shave product to be a bit over-hyped. However, after using this for a while longer, I do believe this to be a very nice and effective pre-shave oil. It does get a bit gooey on the outside, and had leaked a little in the package, but that didn't seem to affect the product at all. For my beard, I have to use a bit more than what is recommended per the instructions, but since everybody's face is different, I understand the need to use more or less. The oil is very thick, but doesn't leave a buildup on my face, nor does it leave any unwanted residue when I'm done shaving. While it doesn't feel like much is on my face after I've applied it, my straight and double edged razor shaves are definitely more comfortable when using this oil. My shave cream also seems to lather up better when used in conjunction. I have the complete set of the Verbena Lime, and it leaves a nice after scent without being too much. All in all this is a nice product. It may not be for everybody, but this stuff has grown on me. If you're not used to using an oil, it may take a while to get used to, but my face certainly has, and I would recommend this to anyone looking for an effective pre-shave oil needed to ease some of the sting a sharp razor can provide.

Save money without sacrificing quality
I usually buy art of shaving or Dermalogica shave oil. This stuff is better and at a good price point. My Routine:Clean my face with a light exfoliator, apply a little oil to the most sensitive parts of my beard, I then use art of shaving shave cream with a badger brush and a good gilette blade. The oil really helps cut down on rash and razor burn. My skin looks way better when I use the oil. I then switch to cold water to close the pores. I finish my routine with mens science after shave spray to cool the skin and minimize irritation and a few minutes later put on some quality lotion. Its the best combo I could find and I rarely have any issues.

Very nice pre-shave oil
Nice pre-shave product and I enjoy using it. I like the thinner oil as it is easier to massage onto my face. One thing that constantly surprises me about this product is the scent. It has a very light pleasant citrus/wood scent. I've caught myself a couple times looking for the source of this scent to discover it is coming from the oil--very light, but you notice it once you massage it on your face. Have to agree with the other reviewer in regards to the size of the bottle, it is a nice sized bottle. I plan to make this a regular product for my pre-shave ritual.

Overall a good oil that I enjoyed using
Overall a good oil that I enjoyed using. I will not be ordering again for some main reasons.1. The "Sandalwood" scent is basically non existent. It is completely orange scented and if that's what you are looking for, than buy it. Otherwise there are better sandalwood options.2. The price is really high when there are other similar options. As compared to Art of Shaving:Art of shaving sandalwood smells a whole lot better but eShave does not gunk up the razor like Art of Shaving did.Used with Taylor of old bond street sandalwood, or Geo F. Trumper's Cocunut oil shave creams, a Merkur safety razor, Crystal blades and Crew after shave.

Helps with scalp razor burn
I like the eShave Pre-Shave Oil for my head, it has removed all razor burn, rinses off cleanly, and the White Tea scent is basically unscented. I shave my head probably 6 days per week. My main issue when compared to other pre-shave oils is I feel like this one I have to use more. The Amazon directions say 2 drops for your entire beard/neck, I find I'm using 5-6 for the half of my scalp that has hair. I'm worried the bottle will only last me about 60 shaves, when others have lasted about 90+. I am trying to lower my use, maybe I'm overusing.I did exhaustive research in selecting a pre-shave oil. I tried The Art of Shaving and found that their oil was very thick and would gunk up my razor, as many people have complained about. I also like that eShave has about half of the ingredients as Art of Shaving.I was going to buy Shaveology oil, but went onto a website that spots fake amazon reviews, and found the Shaveology reviews are basically all faked... so if you've been comparing, steer clear of that.

Very pleased.
I really like this product and will continue to purchase it in the future. To be honest it is not quite as thick or protective as the art of shaving shave oil, but I still like this product better.First, the pump allows me to control how much oil I am using, so unlike the art of shaving, I don't waste any of an expensive product.Second, it does do a very good job protecting my skin my nicks and making the shave less irritating.Third, it leaves my face feeling pleasantly moisturized without feeling greasy. The scent is mild and pleasant.

Don't shave without a pre-shave oil
I shave with a straight razor, and no matter what they say about it being a greater shave and whatnot, it can still irritate the skin. As soon as I put this on my skin, the blade slid significantly better. It doesn't completely cure irritation in hard to shave areas when using a real blade, but it's still essential in my book. The price seems steep, but you don't use that much of it in one shave session, I'd even recommend rubbing some in to your shaved skin afterward, before you apply aftershave.
