First, let me say that I gave 2 stars primarily due to false advertising and labeling. The shampoo itself is okay. Not amazing. Not terrible. As a groomer for 15 years and salon owner, I decided to try the shampoo purely because it claimed to be tearless and would be great to have for those in need of a nose to tail oatmeal. I generally wouldn't step outside my trusted professional brands, but thought I would give it a shot on my own pets and see what happens, as I have found an amazing private brand on here before. After having a pet end up with chemical burn on the cornea many years ago after blindly using a "tear free" product, I am super careful using new products and always test them on myself first. This means putting the sud on my own eye. Not straight shampoo, but diluted sud just as it would be on a pet. This shampoo not only burned like heck, but caused irritation and burning that lingered long after a 10 minute flush. I was hesitant of its claim from the beginning, as essential oils, humectants, emollients, etc, generally do not have the composition to be tearless, but I thought it a dangerous claim to be untested or flat out incorrect. Unfortunately. It is indeed a dangerous and flat out false claim. Do NOT allow this shampoo to get anywhere near your pets eyes. Please!

As a bather for a dog grooming shop, I like this product a lot. If I notice a dog has dry skin, I will use this shampoo. I can't confirm or deny that it helps with itching. I haven't been using it long enough to notice in our regular clients.The shampoo works like a concentrate! The lather you get from this shampoo far exceeds any other product I use on the dogs. I feel like the dogs are getting a really good bath when I use this shampoo. I have several other shampoos that I use. None of which lather like this one! Plus, I don't need to use nearly the amount that I do with other products.Some say the fragrance is too strong. I don't see it that way AT ALL. I use other products that are much stronger. I feel this is a nice balance.In summary, this shampoo cleans your dog well. It smells nice. It lasts much longer because it seems to be fairly concentrated. If you like a nice lather, this is your shampoo! As someone that bathes dogs daily, it ticks all the boxes I'm looking for in a dog shampoo!

After a lot of searching for a shampoo for my dogs that actually made them clean and not smelly. After reading the reviews, I thought I’d give this shampoo a try, figuring if it was half as good as the reviews said, it would be worth it. I could not be more pleased with this shampoo. My dogs actually smell good. Not like wet dogs, not less smelly, but actually clean. Their coats are shiny. The dandruff is gone. I used a fraction of the amount of shampoo I usually use. This is an amazing product. I wish I could give it more stars. Lillian Ruff, you have a life long customer.

Ok, I won't lie. I was kind of skeptical about purchasing such a huge bottle of shampoo but got tired of making small bottle purchases. My 1 gallon bottle was purchased in February of 2020 it is now August of 2020 and I haven't even put a dent in the gallon! :) Here's my pros and cons.PROS1.) SUPER THICK AND CONCENTRATED; I found the easiest way to lather my 2 pitbulls and german/lab mix is by taking a plastic cup filling my cup with lets say about 2 tablespoons of the concentrated shampoo and filling the rest of my cup up with warm water. I mixed the shampoo in the cup. I soak my dogs in water and then lightly pour over their coat. 1 cup is good for all 3 of my babys and the soap LATHERS VERY WELL!2.) I was afraid of not liking the smell since I'm a sniffer and didn't get to sniff the aroma before making this big purchase but whhhheeeew! It smells heavenly! It IS NOT fruity but rather easy on the nose and DOES NOT have a chemical smell like other shampoos.3.) The smell last on my doggos for a good 3-4 weeks depending on how active we are.4.) NO IRRITATION to my pitbulls as they have sensitive skin. This formula does NOT leave my doggos itchy or causes their skin to get kind of red on the belly like other shampoos I've tried in the past.CONS1.) It did NOT come with a pump, it would've been nice if it did.Overall, I WOULD STRONGLY RECOMMEND this product to all the doggo lovers out there. :) Thank you guys for providing such an excellent gallon of EVERLASTING DOGGO SHAMPOO! :)

I have Shih Tzu that I bathe twice a week. I love this shampoo and the conditioner. I just ordered for the third time. I like the smell, it's not too strong and it leaves his coat clean and soft and I think it is priced right. I have searched for some time looking for a product that does not make him scratch and he has quit scratching since I started using it on him. I highly recommend it.

I am a professional grooming and can’t tell you how amazing this shampoo is for dogs with dry irritated skin. I also use the conditioner. Wish it had a stronger smell but I have repeat customers because of this product so it’s not a deal breaker.

All "Tucker"ed out...got a bath today to help his itch problems. Lathered heavy and scrubbed. Got a little in his eyes when rinsing, but he did not seem to mind it. Coat is now shiny and SOFT. Very calming, for a dog that was itching himself crazy. We had tried everything from cortisone shots, to med's. Thought we would give this a try, OMG! excellent product, does everything it says. Tucker is not scratching, or itching as much now. To further his relief, we washed all his bedding, blankets and towels using this as well, (only needed a 1/8 cup for an extra large load). I know it's shampoo, but figured what the heck. Great product...Lillian Ruff shampoo. Free endorsement...we have a happy puppy...THANK YOU from the bottom of our hearts...his too!

I purchased this after combing out my Labrador Retriever and realizing that her skin had really dried out after having her last litter of puppies. This stuff smells so good, I wish I could use it myself! And Vesper's skin is on the way back to normal. I am happy with the product.Also, the little gift that comes with it made me smile.
