When I first opened the box I was really disappointed because it looked to flimsy. When I started to put it together is when I was surprised. Once I got it together it became sturdy and it holds the shelf weight that it advertised. It is worth the price.

I bought 3 of these to organize my garage. I was a little hesitant because of the cost, but I'm so glad I bought them. So much better than cheap plastic alternatives. Easy to assemble, sturdy, and holds all my heavy stuff...tools, paint, bags of lawn treatment products, extra tile from remodeling projects, etc... At 4 ft long and 5 shelves each, it's a ton of storage space. Every shelf can be custom-positioned, but at 6 feet tall, just spacing the shelves evenly leaves plenty of height for large items.

Another reviewer wrote: "Assembly was a pain and I damaged the product with very little effort. the frame dents easily from light strikes with a rubber mallet which is pretty much required. the locking mechanism for the shelves is terrible, it uses a slot and tab method that is again incredibly easy to bend and at times I had to pry the slots open to make the tabs fit at all." I agree 100%. Assembly was an absolute nightmare. My hands are exhausted and it took over 2 hours to assemble. Whoever invented it should be forced to put it together. Not on single piece went together with any ease. Even placing the boards was difficult! If I even move I'm leaving it here. No way will I disassemble and reassemble it again.

Flimsy during the assembly presses allowing the metal pieces to bend. Other than that assembly was fairly easy with just a small rubber mallet and pliers. Once assembled works great and seems pretty study

I actually bought these for my extensive snoopy collection. I would have preferred wood but none I found were tall enough. I asked my daughter to help me out them together. My help consißed of her putting them together and me just passing her the parts. she put them together flat on the floor without too much difficulty,apart from passing what she needed the only other help needed was to stand it up to put the shelves in. I realized later I should have ordered the black one, they would have looked better in my apartment and also I needed another. I intend to order 2 black ones and give her the silver one.

Extremely sturdy. I put together by myself. Used a hammer vs rubber mallet to secure interlocking. Follow the instructions and there won’t be any issues. Buying a second one.

I've purchased at least half of dozen similar shelving units from other brands. This is by the far the worst I've ever assembled.First, all 8 of the vertical bar pieces came bent. This thing is so flimsy, I was able to hand bend them back into shape. As I used the rubber mallet to assemble, the groove that the shelves lay on bent.And the instructions, let's not talk about that monstrosity. The pictures did not match the pieces I was given - so I had to do a lot of guessing and checking to get it to work. The directions clearly say to place the cross bars on the bottom hooks (for the bottom shelf). That's a lie - if you place them in the lowest slots, the bars extend down below the vertical supports. You have to move them up one spot. There's no directions given in terms of which direction to place pieces, and the directions are extremely vague.I built this in my spare bedroom closet to hold things like extra paper towels and bedding. Luckily the walls of the closet extended out to kind of box in the shelf. Otherwise, with no doubt, I believe it would tip over. While I will continue to use it for little things, there's no way I would trust 400 pounds per shelf.My biggest regret? Not packing it back up and returning it as soon as I saw the first bent piece. If I would have known how terrible it was going to be to assemble (and then end up with a mediocre shelf) I would have returned it as soon as I opened it. But, now that it's built I don't want to raise my blood pressure even further by dismantling it.

Arrived yesterday. My first thought as I opened the box, “DISAPPOINTING.” I incorrectly made the assumption that these were similar to those I have bought at Harbor Freight and Home Depot. WRONG. The engineered board is VERY thin, and the metal frames are lighter weight. Then trying to assembly it alone was a bit of a challenge. It definitely would have helped to have an extra set of hands mentioned in the assembly instructions. The upright supports kept coming loose, so I decided to totally put together the lower shelves first. Then I added the upper pieces. Now that I have it together, it looks good, but I still think I paid too much. I did notice that they are now listed for $108.99. I think I would feel better paying that instead of $123.99.

Picked this up for storage of opened and unopened collectibles in my spare room. It's a no frills storage shelf unit which gets the job done, has a good amount of space and is decently solid once put together and filled with stuff. It took about an hour or so to set up solo, mildly irritating at times, but overall it came together decently quickly without incident. Worth mentioning, I used images on Amazon to visually assist in putting it together, which was helpful, the instructions while fine, lacked some detail.In the end this shelf is easily worth the money, it does hold a good amount of weight and remains sturdy.

Just put these together. The whole construction is tabs into slots. Only tool you might need is a hammer to tap things into place. Very heavy and robust. There are a couple vids on YouTube that show step by step instructions. Super happy with these!

Really like these shelving units. I bought 3of them to organize my basement furnace storage room and they worked out awesome. Great load bearing too and all pieces came in great condition. Would have given 5 stars but they are a little tricky to get together, not because it’s complicated but more so tricky in how the pieces have to lock together. Still manageable and overall look great! Pleased with this purchase

I purchased this for my garage and it does its job perfectly. It was incredibly easy to assemble, it’s very sturdy, good size with plenty of storage space and looks pretty good. I would highly recommend this product for a garage or shed etc
