Anyone having issues with the doors not opening/keys breaking off?

No, but we often misplace and lose the keys. There is a little "button" on each garage door that opens the door if you can't get the key to work.

No sounds. My grandson loves playing with this toy and it helps his motor skills with locking and unlocking the doors.
