Best in the series so far
I have been enjoying this series so much, I don’t know if it’s just excellent timing for this type of book for me right now but I have been smashing through the books.‘Gleam’ picks up where ‘Glint’ left off but we learn so much more about the characters and Auren’s background. The pace felt a bit slower in this one but we have a lot of details and the history we learn about Midas was a stroke of genius that I didn't see coming. I still wasn’t bothered about Queen Malina's chapters but I liked the introduction of another Queen and learning about her powers. I think she’ll have a bigger part to play in the next book.I think these books are well written and this surprised me for the genre. The characters are interesting and the steamy scenes are not over the top or too often but they are steamy. I love it when a totally fantasy genre with magic and powers is written with such good characters that they feel real and you could actually believe this is happening.Overall, a great continuation in the series (my favourite so far) and I will move on to ‘Glow’ next before I have to wait 6 months for ‘Gold’ to be released. Sob.

Best of the series!
This book has definitely been my favourite of the series so far, I flew through it and felt engaged in the plot. I thought the romance worked really well in this one and added to the connection and depth of the character- they still weren't incredibly fleshed out but I enjoyed getting more of the backstory.I thought Auren and Slade's characters really complimented each other and I loved the Wraths role in the story- found family will always be my weakness! The last third of this book was so captivating and I couldn't put it down, I was just so keen to see how everything would unfold and what would happen next. One thing I think is key if I am reading a lighter fantasy book like this is my investment in the pace of the story and this one definitely delivered in that respect.Overall this book is definitely the strongest of the series so far, was much less crude and just all round a lot more developed. I would say though some of the scenes are absolutely brutal to read so I would still advise taking care if picking up this series, it’s a lot.

Excellent ending to this book
Yes it was a long book, but it was in no way boring. It built on the storyline of the previous books and developed the characters so nicely that in a way I didn't want it to end.I look forward to the next book.

Absolutely breathtaking!
I've loved every book in this series so far, however, Gleam has managed to outshine both Gild and Glint somehow! The story and characters are now etched in to my heart, and the twists and turns kept me on the edge of my seat through the whole book. This was an amazing and satisfying read. I highly recommend it 💛

Incredible- Auren’s Character growth is EVERYTHING
I'm wrapped in deceit and molded in manipulation, stuffed full of everything I've done to survive. Oh wow.I'm not sure what to do now I've got to wait till May 2022 for the next book! 😱 This series has swept me away and I haven't been able to put it down, it has taken over my mind and now I'm at a loss with what to do.I LOVED Auren's continued growth in this. Things that I wanted from book one happened in this one and I am SO HAPPY about it. And I am so here for any Rip x Auren content!!I wasn't that fussed about Queen Malina's chapters, but as I'm sure it's leading up to more in the rest of the series the painful breaks from the action in Auren's chapters were forgivable. I'm keen to see the possible world expansion in future books! This book offered more chapters from Midas' point of view which were....slimy. Bleh, what a horrible, manipulative self-righteous, entitled monster. We're all aware of this already, but it was interesting to see through his eyes, especially as Auren continued to have her eyes opened to what a monster he is, as well as the power she herself wields. It was marvoulous.I have fallen in love with Raven Kennedy's writing- I swear some passages feel like poetry and are just beautiful 😍 A joy to read, even when some of the scenes were quite horrifying/traumatizing.I need the next one!

Dragged on a little but enjoyed overall
There was one element that I didn’t like Auren has been possessed her whole life. When her and Slade finally get together, Slade went straight into possessive ordering mode - “take your clothes off”, “your mine” etc. I would have preferred if this element had shown more control from Auren’s side, or even a subtle change of language. Instead of Slade saying “you’re mine”, he could have said “I’m yours” to properly signify the difference. I found this bit really disappointing.

The best series I've ever read
I'd stopped reading books for a while because I couldn't find anything that interested me. I saw the gorgeous 'Gold' book in a local shop and thought I'd give this series a go.I've just finished reading 'Gleam' and I struggled to put this down! There are so many twists and turns and just when you think it's coming to an end, there's more! I honestly cannot express how much I enjoyed reading this! I'll definitely be finishing this series and reading again and again!

Automatic Favorite Series
I think that I have finally had enough time to digest this book and think about all of the ways it made me feel. But I also don't know that there will ever be enough time for me to fully recover from this book...at least not until the last book is published.Raven Kennedy is a queen. Simply put, she has creating one of the most beautiful and heart-wrenching stories that I have ever experienced. And it was an experience, not just a read. This book brought me so high and tore me down to the lowest of lows. There were times when I laughed, cried, and nearly broke my phone in rage and terror. Love, mystery, angst, pain, beauty, transformation, secrets, manipulation, magic, death, life. So many things fit into this beautiful story that has me unable to read anything else.If you took away the phenomenal writing and storytelling that Raven Kennedy has put into this book and it was simply just the bare bones of the plot....this story would still be amazing. But the fact that her writing is some of the most captivating, soul-clenching writing I have ever read makes this book all the better. Not only does Raven tell what's happening in the lives of everyone in this book, but I feel as though I am there, enduring every emotion with Auren. When she smiled, I smiled. When she laughed, I laughed. And boy when she was hurt...I WAS HURT. I felt physical pain reading this book because of the rollercoaster it took me on.The most beautiful thing about this book is the development of each character that we get to see. Auren's journey is such a privilege to get to read about because it is so realistic. Her growth as a person is so evident and it makes sense. It isn't too fast or too slow and I never found it to be unrealistic or silly. The same goes for the other characters, even though we see their perspective less. And I will just have to say....Slade is the ultimate book boyfriend and he has now topped all other fictional men. I won't change my mind.Raven has blessed us with this masterpiece and I truly hope that it's fame and recognition continues to grow because it is spectacular.

" The eyes of liars are tricky things. They can show you what you want to see without ever reflecting the truth"Sono ancora abbastanza scossa dopo la lettura di questo terzo volume ma come sempre voglio provare a trasmettervi quello che ho provato proseguendo la storia di Auren. Io ho amato ogni singolo momento con quest'uomo "you're not the villain in my story". "I am. But I'll be the villan for you. Not to you".La scrittura della Kennedy è sempre interessante e non l'ho mai trovata noiosa o esagerata quindi confermo quanto detto per i volumi precendenti.Per quel che riguarda lo spicy ci sono solo 2 scene nel libro e le ho trovate bellissime 🖤. Ho già detto che ho amato Slade si? 😂Leggete questa saga, non ve ne pentirete🖤🖤🖤🖤🖤/5
