Q: How much of this should I use in a 2.5g nano tank with <10 neocaridina shrimp?

I use about an eighth of the scoop ever other day in my 10 gallon with 10 Cherry shrimp. Everyone seems to be happy. Hope that helps.

Q: Do you need to refrigerate after opening?

I do not refrigerate mine and it has been fine. Just keep it dry. I have not seen this being refrigerated. I do not believe it is needed.

Q: I'm having difficulty opening the jar. The lid only turns halfway before stopping completely. Any help?

Maybe the tracks are off or something. It's just plastic too so you can maybe gently pry it from underneath while trying to unscrew it.
