Post Oak Smoking Chips (Two Pack), 180 cu in (00124)

Recently went on vacation to Dallas, Texas. I got home and missed their style of smoked bbq. Looked up and found this was one of the types of wood they smoke with. I got it and it was like I was back in Dallas. Quality of the chips and packaging was great! 10/10 recommend.

I bought these to try out on my home built electric smoker for things like sausage and bacon. My rig uses a Masterbuilt cool smoke generator as the smoke source and these smoke wonderfully in it. Historically, pecan has been my go-to for most meats but I know lots of folks, especially Texans, seem to like post oak so I thought I'd give it a try. I find it nice and mild and believe it would work for nearly anything needing smoke flavor for someone like myself who doesn't want the smoke to overpower other flavors. I would definitely buy again.

These wood chips are definitely worth the money. Great quality and flavor!

This post oak flavor really popped out against other brands

The post oak wood chips worked perfect using a gas grill. The chips gave the chicken a nice oak smoke taste.
