I have been searching high and low for a dog food mat that doesn't look filthy after my dog eats one meal, and actually covers the width of her dish tray. This has been great. After a variety of cloth mats, placemats, and floor mats, this is the right size and the right color to fit my kitchen and catch the messes that are made by the dog. The dog. It seems to absorb any spills from her water dish. It's easy to wash. And a great alternative. I'm certain that it's an excellent counter mat for appliances like the coffee pot or Keurig pot, but my appreciation is it in the functionality as a dog mat.

Got this to protect counter from spills but also to elevate the coffee bar area and make it a little nicer. Very cute, solid material. Haven’t spilled on it yet to test absorbency but it seems like it’ll be very easy to wipe down/keep clean. I got the green and white option- the green is very muted and soft and I love how it looks.

It works! Absorbs water and spills. Occasional rinse out but no staining. Only using for coffee, can’t speak to tea spills.

I am rating this 3 stars because the mat is actually really nice and looks nice and it does absorb water really quickly. It dries very quickly. The problem with this mat and why I have to return it is the chemical odor that comes with it. When I took it out of be bag it was STRONG. It’s the type of odor that feels like you shouldn’t be breathing it in. I washed the mat and let it sit out for a couple days and the odor did dissipate a lot… but not enough to put my clean dishes on it. My glass cups were smelling like the chemical odor. I don’t believe the smell will completely go away since it’s settling Into the fabric. Unfortunately I have to return the mat. So really for me, the only downfall was the odor. If that doesn’t bother you, it’s a nice looking mat and dries quickly. I looks exactly as shown in the pics. I loved how it looked. I really wanted to be able to keep it but I can’t have my clean dishes going onto a mat with a chemical smell. We have enough things in this world with chemicals in it ugh. 😩
