Overall, I like the look of this bath mat in the opaque style. The suction is good. At first you might have to run water to get all of the contact points to stick, but then they stay solidly stuck. Although the texture of a good rubber mat feels better on the feet, that material deteriorates faster. With this plastic one, the various shapes in the design might be less than optimal as far as comfort goes, but they're definitely needed to provide some level of traction. Even with that, if the water between your feet & the mat is soapy, the plastic is definitely slippery, so I really am not comfortable recommending this mat, especially for seniors & children.

This works well for me. It's comfortable, easy to clean, and dries quickly (therefore good for travel). My mother-in-law tried it, but it did not work for her - it seems to need some texture to avoid slipping. It is not a suction-cup system like many.

Our 20-year-old tub came with no-slip strips, but they were pretty worn down so I decided to get the Gorilla Strips despite the warning. Glad I did! Those suction cups hold like anything. The length fits almost the whole length of the tub, and the surface is soft and easy on the feet. Result: comfort and confidence for this 79-year-old. To clean, I just hang it cups-side-out from the curtain rod and spray with Formula 409.

I needed a short length for the tub in the guest bath and at 37” this fit perfectly.

Very comfortable to stand on! Everything we were looking for. Some things like conditioner make it a little bit slippery so be careful when it comes to that. Price was good too.
