Works. Dries Quickly
I used this on a chain saw carving that was starting to get some dry rot in it. It's not very viscous so it soaks right in and hardens very quickly. I was impressed with this product.

To my surprise... it works!
Faced with the prospect of having to tear out the joists of my wooden deck, I was ready to try anything. Luckily, I tried this stuff. And, to my surprise, it really, really works. Sure, I should have used pressure-treated wood; I erred on the side of budget -- and ended up paying for it a few years later. But this spray-on, pour-on solution has given me, hopefully, several more years of utility from my decking and joists. (I did have enough forethought to use treated lumber for the beams.) I wire-brushed the fungus and punk wood away, exposing a porous surface; sprayed the vertical surfaces and poured a thin stream into the grain of the horizontal ones. Waited for it to harden, then gave it another coat. The wood appears solid and rock-hard now (or at least wood-hard). Cleanup is easy with water before it hardens. The liquid is thin enough to work with a hand spray-bottle and to soak into the wood, and milky when wet. A thin coat dries mostly clear.

Good product but…
I’ve purchased this a few times and it works well, however the gallon I received yesterday had a big hole in the side and 2/3 of the product was all over the box it came in, my front porch, and certainly in the back of the ups truck that delivered it. It’s was a huge waste of money, not to mention the fact that I actually needed it! I’m pretty bummed about it…

Works and Almost No Odor
I am repairing 125 year old rotted wood old growth fir window sills. PC Hardener soaks right into the wood and hardens in a few hours. After it drys you can tell if you missed a spot by sticking your finger nail or a screw driver in to see if in resists. Easy to apply to a horizontal surface. You need a brush for vertical surfaces where it tends to drip or narrower areas like window trim that is fluted. I bought a box of cheap chip brushes to work with the hardener. Virtually no odor! I bought the smaller size 32 oz to see how it worked and how far it would go. Photos are before and after on west and east facing windows and typical of the rotted weathered sills on my house [30" wide 6" deep] with deep cracks, some of which go almost al the way trough 2" thick wood. One 32oz container hardened four window sills and the 24oz PC Woody epoxy filler set was enough to fill those four sills. Easy to clean up spatulas and hands with denatured alcohol. Easy to sand the epoxy with 80 grit sandpaper. It feels like a great surface to paint too.

Wood much stronger after application
I bought the product based on online comparisons. I had bought another similar product before, by Minmax. I used both products on the same deck which had rotten, fragile wood. I used the PC product also on another deck with similar issues on the ends of the boards. Minmax does the job, but PC does an incredible job at hardening the damaged area. It also felt less liquidy than Minmax, and I got better mileage on the bottle. This PC product is 5-star, Minmax 4-star. I will buy PC again.

amazing hardness in only one application
I had some new bondo and it was not hardening rotted post with several applications over course of an hour, i could still put fingernail through and then I ordered this for board beside it. Hardened in one single application. This stuff is great, does what it is supposed to do.

Excellent Product !
No unpleasant odour. Works really well, when used as directed. Soft rotted wood turns solid and takes paint ( I use acrylic) well. When percussing the finished project, one could swear the wood is new and solid.

Works great
We had a windowsill that was rotting from condensation in the kitchen. I used this and was able to save the windowsill rather than having to replace it. Looks great! You’d never know there was ever a problem there.

Wood hardener
Works very well used it on woodworm damaged wood and rotten exterior wood. Takes longer to dry then solvent based products but has almost no smell so is brilliant to use indoors. Expensive but goes a long way. Won't be using solvent based hardener indoors ever again.
