Have you thought about selling a cloth/plastic case for this? I would keep this in my purse, so I can use it anywhere. A case would keep it clean.

Does this product require one to drink water to use it?

HiccAway is most effective when both the vagus and phrenic nerves are stimulated. The vagus nerve is stimulated by the pressure differential, and the phrenic nerve is stimulated when we swallow. In other words, HiccAway is most effective when a small amount of water is swallowed. Other customers have found relief without water, but that generally is not ideal.

I get stubborn cases sometimes that wake me up in the middle of the night, does this help with stubborn cases?

Does not prevent - should cure the incident. You might try a triangle pad under your pillow to ease the tubing in your neck.

When you're sucking on the straw, should you be inhaling or exhaling?

You should be inhaling. You want the unit to go from virtually empty, to full of water, and then swallow, repeating 2-3 times. The goal is to lower the diaphragm through powerful suction, and swallow, in close proximity.

WORKS!!!!

This thing WORKS!!!! My address n and husband both get the hiccups often. My son has used it 4x and all 4x it has instantly stopped them. My husband hasn't used it yet but I'm sure it will do the same for him!Very impressed.

Don't think, just get

100% this has worked for me and my daughters every time. We get hiccups rarely but when we do, they hurt and last forever. We have tried everything from holding our breathe to standing on out heads and drinking water and nothing works. This does the trick every time, the first time. I carry it in my purse for just in case times.

It's a miracle straw!

Seems to Work

I’m not sure if it was because of the straw or just from drinking water in general. The design is clever and it’s easy to use, clean, and store. It’s a fun and innovative idea, and maybe it really does work, but I can’t say with 100% certainty that it made the difference. Still, I think it’s worth having on hand just in case!

Actually Works!
