The fire glass that was exposed to direct flame in the propane fire pit immediately turned black.

Received the wrong colors from what I ordered but Amazon quickly remedied that problem. The glass was beautiful, BUT, it immediately turned black as soon as the glass heated up in my gas fire pit. Every single piece that was exposed to the flames turned black and stayed that way even after it cooled. I literally washed every single piece by hand ( 20 pounds!!) to remove anything on the glass and the black coating and then put it back in the fire pit to use. Every piece exposed to the flame AGAIN turned black. I removed all of the glass again and replaced it with lava rocks. The glass is useless for the fire pit . Very disappointed in this product.

Beautiful and received on time. Suggestions, do not just dump the contents of the bag in your Firepit. There is glass dust and smaller pieces you want to eliminate. So do yourself a favor. Go through the glass and put the pieces you want to keep in a bucket of water. Throw out the pieces that are really tiny. You do not want to clog you gas unit in the Firepit. I used the box the glass was delivered in with paper towels to dry the glass and to put it in the Firepit basin. I did not dump it in. The glass is now shiny, clean and looks beautiful with or with fire. Also I only ordered 10 pounds because the basin was small. It was not enough so another 10 pounds did the trick.

The only reason why I’m giving this one star is, well it’s the lowest you can go but also I would give it one star because the color was pretty. Other than that, what a complete waste of money! The rock is so tiny and most of it is almost powder. When mixed with my other fire pit glass, it fell to the bottom so I can’t see any of the color anyhow. Largest pieces are maybe a quarter of an inch, which is pretty much useless. Save your money and buy from other sellers that have the size listed and actually arrive in that size.

These glass pieces are a great replacement for the lava rocks. I had to order two 10lb boxes for my fire table (inner dimensions are 16.25in length, 16.25in width and 1.25in depth). Only had to use maybe half of the second box to get that full look. Really like how the flames appear like they are coming out from underneath the rocks. I recommend this product but just beware you may need to order two boxes for that full look depending on the size of your fire table.

Ordered two bags for my gas fire pit. First one had all large chunks. Second one had a lot of small pieces and shards. Make sure you empty the bag into a colander and then wash the pieces to clean the dust and small shards out

Your browser does not support HTML5 video.  I bought two boxes of this fire glass. I got it packaged in sealed bags, boxes into separate boxes per 10 pounds of glass. I had planned to wash the glass first as other reviewers had done, but we opened it, and my husband started putting it into the fire pit before I could tell him I wanted to rinse it all first. He was using gloves, but I was bare handed moving the pieces around and they were not sharp. There were very few tiny pieces. He did turn the bag over and we got a bit of shards and sand like pieces, but we got the vacuum and out dust adapter and we were able to clean out those pieces. I found one clear piece in the bag. The second bag we picked it all out by hand to avoid getting any of the tiny pieces. It was really a minuscule amount, I just didn’t want it in there because we get pretty windy times here. Once it was in, the 20 pounds was a perfect amount for the fire pit. I definitely recommend that amount for the basic size most everywhere sells. It looks really pretty. We have it in our in door fireplace and new how great it can look. None of the pieces got any lampblack on them after the first use nor did any react from the heat. I had it on high for over 2 hours tonight. This is large piece quality glass. I am impressed. I kind of wish now I had gotten the pacific color blend because I think that would have been really pretty, but I was a little concerned over some of the reviews. Well, I shouldn’t have been, this glass is just as quality as the kind we have for our indoor fireplace and we paid a great deal more for that.

We replaced the lava rock in our fire pit with the Bahama blend glass and it is beautiful. So pretty when the fire is off and even better when lit. The flames seemed to burn higher through the glass than through the rock .The dark blue seems to turn darker when the flame is lit but returns to original colour when it cooled. Very happy with this purchase.

They were exactly the colours we were looking for. Gorgeous! The only downside is we misjudged the amount we would need for our fireplace. Ended up having to order a second box of them. Doesn't really seem like 10lbs to me.

These are a great addition to our fire table. They are beautiful and when the fire is lit up they look like they are melting. Great product for the price....

Material scratches easy, door did not line up, had to adjust screw holes. First night we set up to use igniter worked, has not worked since, sadly my husband threw out box so could not return, won't be buying another fire table on line as I would rather see the product in person before I buy. I read reviews on this they were not all bad, if you want a cheap fire table this is your product, if your looking for something that is good quality and stays in working condition do not buy.

I really liked this glass. I purchased it to use in an art piece. However, the pieces are too big so I had to hammer them to make them smaller.
