Locking Cap Is Works Good, Seals Like It Should
I wanted to assure that no one would fool around with my car's gas, so I researched ones on Amazon and came up with this one. The key fits in the lock fine, and is easy to lock, unlock, but maybe takes a few times to get used to how it works. I bought two, one for each of two Dodge models. I only got a gas cap alert once on one of the cars, but it went away soon by itself. I keep the old non locking cap installed in the car when I am traveling on vacation, and filling the tank a lot.

Exactly what I needed
A homeless shelter has opened up across the street from my office and we have had gas siphoned from our company vehicles so I thought it was time to buy a locking gas cap for my 2006 Jeep Liberty. This cap fits and is easy to use. I've been driving with it for a week and my rig hasn't thrown a single code so I assume this cap is a good seal. It took me a bit of fiddling with it the first time I got gas before work but I also hadn't had my coffee yet. I would purchase it again

Fits my 2008 Ford Explorer capless filler, but...
I bought this as it was one of the few locking gas caps that specified that it fit Ford's capless fillers. My 2008 Ford Explorer was having issues with the capless system setting Evap System OBD trouble codes, from "very small, to small, to very large" Evap System leaks. The claim of this cap possibly helping to remedy that was a bonus. However, shortly after installing the new cap, a code was again set. I installed a rubber o-ring around the base of and under the upper part of the cap. Still set a code again, so in my application, it didn't help, but may in your case. It DOES make a good locking gas cap!

Does the job
Needed to get a locking gas cap for both our Jeeps. They fit perfect and do lock. However when unlocking it you have to shimmy the key into the lock ( itβs like this on both that were bought) , and then turn the key a 1/4 turn and while holding the key in that spot remove the cap. Itβs a bit of a pain but for now is doing the job. The same key will worth with both caps even though they came in two separate packages which makes me assume the key is universal.
