WebGem Glove Care System

These guys blew me away. I ordered the flare for my son several weeks before Christmas, when it came in i briefly opened the box to see that it was the web gem and stashed it in my closet until we were going to wrap it. With just about two weeks until Christmas my wife and I started wrapping presents and I realized I had received their 3 Grand model which is for a first base mit. I panicked and decided to go ahead and order another one and return the other one in hopes that it would be here for Christmas. They emailed and were extremely apologetic about the mistake, they did an excellent job of getting the correct one to us before Christmas and told me to go ahead and keep the other one they had sent. With every mistake made in business there is an opportunity for someone to go above and beyond to make it right and they did just that. I was pretty sure the folks at webgem were pretty awesome because they were baseball guys but they really secured the title of awesome after doing everything in their power to make sure my son, another fellow baseball nut, was taken care of. O ya and the quality of the product is top notch, this is a MLB quality product without a question. Product does just what it says and provides a long term solution to keeping your glove in good shape.

I am enthusiastic about the WebGem. I am a "baseball dad" and use my catcher's glove 3-5 times a week. I have 2 WebGems: it helps me keep a very nice pocket on an older glove and has helped break in a new one which was stiff as a board. The pocket mold is carefully thought out and it is much smoother than the one you get from sticking a baseball or two in the pocket. Putting the glove away takes seconds and you can chuck it into a trunk or bag without worrying that the glove will get damaged. The price is pretty high: it costs more than one of my gloves! However, I estimate that it will at least double the life of my gloves. The product is well conceived and well made so I expect it to last for many years. They could save money with simpler packaging: it is pretty over the top.I bought some for my son's gloves and he won't use them, which is very aggravating, but no fault of the WebGem.

This thing is superb... ! It is so good that I got paranoid reading a review of a guy who had it stolen that now I don’t carry it in my baseball bag... I take the glove off and leave the care system in my car...!It is not cheap, but it sure worth’s the money... specially if you don’t have a cheap glove either... this systems keeps your glove in shape and protects it from getting dry or damped... I live in south Florida, here the weather can either toast your glove or leave like a wet mop when it’s humid..!

I had a minor issue of receiving a foam that had a scratch or gouge and there was rattling inside. The company took care of it immediately and overnight shipped a new foam and gave me an extra pack of glove conditioner. This company was great to deal with. Real down to earth and real people. Glad that I could give them my business. Not too mention they sell a great product. Ive used it for awhile now and it does hold the shape of the glove perfectly. I love the flare and having a great way to store my glove in between playing. The product has been durable thus far. My clip that fastens was a little messed up but it bent back a little and it worked perfectly. Overall an A+ product and even better customer service. Thanks.

Great shape. I've had a flared glove for a long time, but my old one finally got retired. Bought this to shape a new glove and it works. The shape is great, and the bag is nice.Only one complaint. The strap inside the bag needs a re-design. It goes through holes in the bag and when you push your glove in, it pushes the strap down forcing you to dig into the bag and reposition it. The strap needs to be routed through a tunnel to keep it in the right place inside the bag. The bag is made in China, so it won't be costly for them to fix this.

Very impressed with the quality of the bag and mold. In addition, the two included packets of Glove Glaze have worked wonders on restoring the leather of a well used A2000. We have only had a week, so have not had luck on bending the outside pinky part of the glove to complete the flare, but the thumb is definitely taking on the shape. I think we'll have to work the pinky side manually to help get the curve started. Overall, I feel like this will do a great job of protecting the glove and if we can get back into the habit of keeping the glove oiled, we have added many years to our current glove. I recommend for anyone that wants to form their glove or extend the life of their glove.

After spending big bucks on a glove meant to last my son for at least the next 5 years, this purchase was a no brainer! Yes, the kit is a little on the expensive side, but it keeps your glove looking like new and not squashed in a pancake in the bottom of your equipment bag. I've always used a softball and heavy-duty rubber band to keep my gloves in halfway decent shape, but the WebGem system keeps the glove exactly how you want it. I will most likely try the Deuce catcher's WebGem for my other son, as he is due for a new glove also. Quite honestly, I'd like to try every one of them, but just couldn't justify the cost to my beautiful loving wife, who I hope sees this ;)

My son plays several positions on his 11u travel team, so there are multiple expensive gloves in his bag. My pet peeve is when someone throws their glove in the bottom of a bag and it gets smashed and loses its shape. I bought the first one for his new Rawlings Pro Preferred 11 1/2" (roll) and it took shape nicely. He started playing CF so the next purchase was a Flare XL for his 12 3/4" A2000 which greatly helped with break in time. I was so impressed that I bought a third one for my A2000 catcher mitt to protect it. I can't think of a better product to protect a baseball glove, especially for a kid. My only complaint is I wish I had thought of it first.
