Product Description The 2016 Reebok CrossFit Games were a 6 day, 15 event, grueling test to find the fittest male and female on earth. "Fittest on Earth" follows the dramatic story of the top athletes who qualified and competed. A behind the scenes look into what it takes to be among the worlds elite athletes. Athletes find out which events they are going to test themselves weeks, sometimes days and even minutes before they take the competition floor. The film follows the world's top athletes as they compete. Review The commentators speak about the enjoyment of watching these athletes suffer, but Fittest on Earth deftly tracks the emotional trajectory as well. Plus, the slow-motion shots of gloriously muscled bodies in peak physical form will definitely inspire a trip to the gym. --The Los Angeles Times

First was much better
The second installment of "Fittest on Earth" doesn't live up to the hype. The first was brilliantly composed and executed with a choice soundtrack, excellent character development, and suspense nearly throughout. One would expect a similar delivery with the sequel, especially given it's celebrating the 10 year anniversary of the CrossFit games. Sadly, we're no where close. The cast isn't nearly what it was in the first. Vellner and Fikowski don't match the character of Bailey and Ohlsen. Tia-Claire Toomey, while being an extraordinary athlete is not an entertaining subject (actually she's a downer, her self-deprecating ways while offering a glimpse into her psyche do not make for good film. Brooke Ence, Camille Leblanc-Bazinet, Lindsey Valenzuela, and Kara Webb are considerably more fun to watch). Fraser, Briggs, Katrin, Sara, and Ben are all great here, but they couldn't carry the film. Here are a few things this movie needed:1. better supporting cast (see above)2. better soundtrack (wtf is going on at 18:12? - sounds like a 12 year old was playing around in Garage Band)3. better character development, the initial "Fittest on Earth" takes the first 10 minutes of the film to introduce and develop the athletes. Athletes who we then follow through the film. Here there a disconnect between the featured athletes and the viewer most likely caused by a lack of proper intro for most.4. More suspense. Maybe Fraser is to blame for running away with it on the men's side (or maybe Toomey for being so uncertain of herself), but there just wasn't anything here to keep the viewer engaged.Note: I gave an extra star because Josh Bridges. The guy is fantastic (funny, smart, recognizable, sincere). A star goes to Pat Sherwood. His commentary is genius. To Dan Bailey, please make the games this year - you were sorely missed. Most memorable lines of the film (made me spit my water out laughing):"We first saw the pegboard in 2015. That was a monkey wrench that Director of The Games, Dave Castro, inserted directly into the anus of most of the games athletes.... And they didn't enjoy the experience." - Pat Sherwood

Really enjoy the movie
Really enjoy the movie. Watched it on a flight to Hawaii cause I knew the flight was going to be long and I wanted to be motivated to workout . Did the trick. Landed and all I wanted to do was head straight to the gym. Overall I think it's a great movies, shows the hard work that the athlete put in their sport. Great seeing the athletes struggle but also shine. Whenever I get busy and miss my time at the gym and find it hard to get back into the swing of things, this movies gets me back on track. I have my collection of snowboarding/skiing movies to get me pumped for the winter season, mountain biking ones. Fittest On Earth is starting the foundation of motivating movies to keep me on track for the day to day grind.

Buy this and not "Fittest in Dubai"
Great doc. Always motivating. Lots of replay value and worth the price tag. Really feel like you get to know the Games athletes and enjoy the spectacle of the Games w/o having to be there. The "Fittest on Earth" documentaries are always well produced with great editing, a solid narrative and great camera work. "Fittest in Dubai" is to the "Fittest on Earth" documentaries as Go Bots are to Transformers.

These athletes are incredible. But the sound issue is real and annoying.
1. These athletes are gods... not normal humans. What they can do physically will blow your mind.2. I never saw the original, but this was excellent.3. The sound is not balanced.. Music too loud, voices too quiet, especially in the beginning. Very annoying. -1 star4. I do not participate in crossfit. I've never done it, BUT even as a bodybuilder, I completely appreciate their athleticism and strength. They have amazing physiques.5. After watching this, I am definitely going to branch out of bodybuilding and do more strength and conditioning work. Looks really fun.

Crossfit Promo Video - not great coverage of '16 Games
Wanted to love this film since I followed the 2016 (and now '17) Games and regionals avidly and am a HUGE fan of the athletes that are featured.I thought we were going to get in-depth, behind the scene interviews and additional coverage of the 2016 games.Unfortuantely, I found this movie to be somewhat disjointed and hard to follow at times. I know they can't show ALL of the events, but lots of the event footage that was included had no information so unless you knew the event details somehow on your own, you wouldn't know they weight or reps being preformed. The timeline was also confusing as they would be showing an event, cut to a 'dottir training, then cut back to then end of the event. The official YouTube coverage they posted is so mush more intriguing and informative. Basically this felt like a promo video for Crossfit in general and they used the '16 Games to film it - I didn't even finish it. Maybe watch this first and then watch the more in depth videos.

You think you are completing at the CrossFit Games
Amazing motivational video especially those new to the CrossFit world. You watch these Athletes work hard for an entire year of training then complete at the CrossFit Games. You think that you are right there competing with them. Loved every minute of it.
